Great little book with tons of color inspiration and info. Small format and somewhat thin paper stock.

This is a wonderful book. 5 stars for the book. 0 stars for Amazon, however. This item is listed as “Ships from Amazon,” but it took weeks before it even shipped, and it seems to me that the book actually came from Japan (there is a receipt inside in Japanese). Secondly, Amazon put one of their stickers on the book cover, guaranteeing that the fragile cover get ruined when the sticker is removed.

Came in on time and well boxed. This book is a fantastic asset to anyone who seeks to express their creativity, in fashion and in design, but has a problem with color matching. Beautifully presented in this book is exactly what you want, color profiles in a seemingly endless variety.

This is my color reference for just about everything, whether you need help combining colors for your outfits or are making design choices , its a great resource. Text and layout is aesthetically appealing from a graphic design perspective too, totally recommend if you need color references for your day to day and love vintage japanese color combinations.

Perfect compact size book was exactly what I was looking for. The book arrived lightning fast and was better than expected. No more guessing what a color combination will look like, this book picks the best possible combinations and gives you a clar picture what it will look like.

Es ist handlich, und mit 270+ Seiten umfangreich. Es beinhaltet viiiele ästhetische und moderne Farbkombinationen (2er/3er/4er Kombos), ohne Bezüge zu Jahreszeiten oder Stimmungen. Ganz sachlich und neutral. Ich nutze es ausschließlich zur Inspiration und für meine Arbeit mit Aquarellfarben... Aber es ist auf diverse Bereiche anwendbar. Ist es für Kleidungsdesign, Mediengestaltung, Illustration oder das traditionelle Malen: Es ist ein GAMEchanger. Übrigens auch sehr praktisch zum Mitnehmen. (Bin damit schon durchs Möbelgeschäft getanzt.) Ein sehr praktisches Tool und eine überraschende Bereicherung! Japanisch muss man nicht beherrschen. Der Text ist nicht relevant. Das Slipcover verliert schnell an "Schönheit", da es wirklich etwas empfindlich ist. Aber dieses Buch ist eben ein Nachschlagewerk, also für den Gebrauch und eben auch für Verschleiß gemacht. Ansonsten hat es eine tolle Qualität. Bin sehr zufrieden, kann es nur empfehlen! ✨ 👍🏼

A remarkable composite of colour swatches in 2,3, and 4 colour grouping variations that any creative person, artist, or patron of the arts can find useful, inspiring, and or helpful within their craft or as a means to simply better understand the colours. I recommend getting both editions as the second edition contains samples of colours and how they may appear on every day materials like clothes and wares (albeit from the 1930s). However, this first edition, alone, provides a remarkable foundation. I am so glad I came across this! Highly recommend. If you are not Japanese, use your device to translate the text via your picture app to enjoy a thorough background on Wanda's work and life.
