Fast paced, fun, fluctuating game.
I have played both Pirate Fluxx and Monty Python Fluxx before, and decided to get this version for my brother, an aficionado of sci-fi, for Christmas. We opened it on the day, it was one of the few games we played that day around family responsibilities (Star Trek Catan, Pandemic, Coup and 7 Wonders got pushed to the side). This is without a doubt my favourite version. The games seem to have a much faster pace, and there is a lot of variety in the Keepers and Creepers. For those who haven't played Fluxx before, you play cards in turn depending on the rules played previously. At the beginning, you draw one card from the deck and play one card from your hand. But later, someone might play a 'Play All' card, which means everyone has to play everything in their hand every turn. The victory conditions fluctuate as much as the rules do, it becomes a very fun, very easy to learn game, that can take anywhere from 15 minutes to over an hour. I would strongly recommend this to any newcomers to Fluxx.

Brilliant!
As someone new to playing card games I thought I'd give this a try as it seemed fairly straightforward and fun. It doesn't disappoint. Games can last anything from 10 - 15 minutes to half an hour or more depending on what rule changes you decide to play. Although, I will admit there are some cards that seem to have fairly ambiguous wording that left us to make decisions on how they should be played ourselves, but it didn't take away from the fun. While I can see how this would be far more entertaining with a few more players, it works great with just the two of us and I can see it being the kind of thing that would pop into a travel bag (for when we can do things like that again) to play on the go. However, it does benefit from a decent amount of table space.

A Game That Just Won't DIE!!!
You really get two games when you buy this, normal FLUX and then the enhance Zombie FLUX which add new rules and new mayhem to the already chaotic and fun FluXX. The basic game is really easy to pick up and fun to play. It has some strategy but also feels free flowing and a little random if you do not have a plan. The great thing about Fluxx is that anyone can change the game at any moment and that changes the pace, the stakes and the amount of tension. Normal games of Fluxx last for about 30 minutes on average. I've only played with a maximum of four other people and we usually play three rounds before we move onto a more serious game. Zombie Fluxx initially feels a few factors more complicated than normal Fluxx and it totally changes the strategy so it may feel a bit daunting for new players. However once you're in the swing of things it is just as fun and sometimes more fun than the vanilla version. Games last a bit longer on average and expect the first game played to take much longer due to the learning curve. Both versions are great party games or family time wasters. I play with a group of adults (23-32) and we all love it. If you buy and enjoy this game then i would recommend Evil Baby Nursery too, another great card game.

I love this game.
The rules are so straight forward as you learn as you play. The cards you play change the rules, so it's such a fun and easy game for non-gamers! Arrived a lot faster than expected. Estimated it would take three months to deliver, yet just took under two weeks.

Simple and yet fun game - great theme, and well executed
Flux is a quick, and addictive card game based on making collections of cards based on a common goal. Very quick to learn and quick to play. Take a deck of these to a party, the pub or a meal with friends - they are sure to love them. This particular version is (quite obviously) space-themed. It's all extremely cool, especially for Tekkies and the like. Even if you already have another version of the game, it's always fun to make a collection, and this is definitely a good addition to your games cupboard.

Great game - fits in your pocket.
This is a great game. It can get a little intense the more people that are involved, but that only makes the experience more fun. I was first introduced to this a few years ago, but thought that it was about time that I bought my own version. I'm so glad that I did, as it has allowed me to while a away those quiet nights with a bit more fun. It is also good as it is only the size of a pack of cards, so it is easy to stick in your luggage if you ever go away anywhere, as you never know when you may need them for some impromtu fun. There are many different versions of this game (pirate etc), so I think I may have to invest in some more! Worth the 5 stars.

May the Nerd be with you
Fluxx is the card game that's always changing. The rules change as you play the game and so does the goal. Sound confusing? It really isn't! The cards tell you exactly what to do. The rules are written on one card and it's all you need to know. The game is very enjoyable and funny, and you will get a good laugh playing. Even when you think you're about to win, you might actually lose! This version of Fluxx is for the sci fi lover. It references Star Trek, Hitchiker's Guide, Star Wars, Doctor Who, and more! A great buy, and if you have any problems the people at Looney Labs are absolutely amazing (and hilarious).

I love the Fluxx series so much, and while I may play some of the other versions more often (I'll explain why at the end of this review), this and Monty Python Fluxx are my two absolute favorites! Fluxx is the perfect go-to game if you want something fast-paced, fun and easy to learn. Because the explanation and basic rules of the game are so simple, I've found that it's equally fun for brand-new players as for those who've played it before. Everything is explained on each card, so you can give very minimal instructions to new players and they'll pick it up easily. We usually use this as a warm-up game on game nights with friends and family, before moving on to more strategy-based games. Since I mentioned strategy, I will give you one word of caution: this is not a game for those who are looking for something with elaborate strategy and get frustrated when the plan they've been working on for several rounds either doesn't work out or backfires. The nature of the game is to be ever-changing, so you have to be willing to go with the flow. You can have some strategy, of course, but you have to be willing to see it blow up in front of you in seconds--and then laugh about it! A word about this version of the game: in my opinion, this particular version is best played when you're playing with fans of Sci Fi. This version is based around references to popular sci-fi film and television series (Star Wars, Star Trek, Dr. Who, etc.), and really I think it's funniest when you understand the references. It is playable with people who don't know their Sci Fi, but I don't think it's as much fun for them. Also, because of the special powers of some cards in the game it is a slightly more complex version of Fluxx than others--I wouldn't start anyone out with this unless they're playing with others that have played it before.

I was told this is a hard to find item now so glad to find it here. This version is better than the original version of Fluxx for a Firefly fan. Art work is a bit messed up but the firefly references on the cards makes it worth it.

I really like this game. A lot. It's simple to understand and very interesting because the goals and the rules can keep changing. The game is constantly in flux. It's fun and really likeable but I would advise you to play it with a group of people that like trying out different things and experimenting and do not expect games to -always- finish within 15 minutes.

Bought because I had a buddy who introduced me to this game. It is fantastic and a lot of fun. Basic premise is that its a card came that starts with the basic rule of draw 1 card and play 1 card. You need to place a goal card onto the table as well as the two keepers list on the card to win. However there are several rule, action and surprise cards that keep the game in constant flux. There are cards that limit your hand, limit your keepers, change how many cards to draw\play, cards that can steal keepers, swap hands and cards that prevent all these things from being done. It is a 2-6 player game and typically plays for 10-40 mins. I strongly recommend.
