Glass Pan Lid
I purchased this to use with a 25cm Staub frying pan. The Staub glass lids have been out of stock for months so this will have to do. It fits perfectly and also fits my 26cm Le Creuset shallow casserole dish. The lid is much lighter than the original cast iron lid of the casserole dish, so this could be a solution if you find the combined weight of cast iron pan and cast iron lid to be too heavy. The lid itself is very high quality, perfect blemish free glass and the metal rim around the outside is seamless. The handle can be removed with a philips screwdriver for thorough cleaning. My one complaint with the design is that underneath the metal rim can be difficult to clean. The Staub glass lids are preferable in that regard. The Le Creuset packaging is fairly robust and does protect the lid so there's less of a chance of it arriving broken.

You get what you pay for!
If you are purchasing a Le Creuset, you know that you are purchasing quality and at a price. So , it comes as no surprise that the lids for sauce pans, friers etc. do exactly what you expect. In my experience, Le Creuset is a one time purchase. Still using items purchased thirty years ago and expect this to outlive me!
