So Good And Easy To Use
I've used my local tyre shop to sort punctures for a while now, but at £20 a go, it got expensive when the fellas putting a new roof on the house next door kept leaving small nails all over the road. So I bought this and thought I'd give it a go. It's soooooooooo easy! You get plenty of rubber sticky plug strips in there, but I bought a few more anyway. They have plenty of length on them, so you can cut them in half and use one strip for 2 punctures if you want to. It's already paid for itself 10 times over. I even fixed a puncture for someone outside my house a while back. She offered me money, but I'm nice, so wouldn't take it. I found a thank you card with £20 in it put through my door the following day, so that alone paid for it. But it's really easy to use, amd in some cases you don't even need to take the wheel off of the car. Although it does help. Buy it. It'll save you good money. Kwik Fit charge £30 a go, so this will more than pay for itself after one puncture.

puncture repair kit actually works
I bought this kit as I managed to get a screw stuck in a brand new tyre after buying a full set of 4 tyres! The screw was right on the limit/edge of where the repair shops aren't allowed to fix it - I felt it was ok in this instance to repair it as the screw was in at an angle and therefore didn't cause an issue with the sidewall using this type of repair over the type used by garages (drill and plug). I've got to say that in short I'm really impressed with it. I've left it over 3 months since doing the repair and I total approximately 1000 miles a month with no issues, no need to reinflate and the tyre is still balanced (no wobble). I would like to add that the car I've got the repair on is my daily driver, an astra which doesn't get driven hard but I've also got another car, much faster and it gets used on the track, I would possibly be more wary of driving that at track speeds over 150 but I'm going to get another kit for that car for general road use as I'm so impressed with the repair on the astra that it makes sense as a "get you home" kit for that car too. The repair is relatively easy to do, no need to take the tyre off the wheel, you simply remover the whole tyre and wheel from the car, locate the cause of the leak and remove it (be careful: if it's actually in the sidewall then think twice about the repair and if you do have to repair in the sidewall then drive slowly and safely to a tyre shop and get it replaced immediately - if it's in the tread and not in the sidewall then you are probably fine to use the tyre as you normally would as there won't be any damage to the steel belt). Once removed the air will come rushing out, leave it a moment to calm down and then before it's fully deflated use the tool provided to clean and open the hole out a little bit. You then take one of the repair "strings" and the second tool, you thread the string into the tool and firmly push it through until you feel it's gone all the way through and is leaving a small amount sticking out. (A few reviews suggest using rubber vulcanising for as it makes it easier and will help aid the repair - I followed that suggestion and did indeed use glue - simple bike puncture glue, nothing special - it did make it easier). You then pull the tool back out and the repair stays in place. You then trim the excess away using the knife supplied. Leave it a while, maybe 5-15 mins then reinflate and fit back on the car. Take it easy at first, make sure the repair is holding and then after about 30 mins of driving maybe try checking the tyre pressure to confirm its held.

Handy tool for the car
Always great to have a back up incase a small nail gets into the tyre, for me it’s done the job on two occasions without fail! Has a good instruction kit too, so it’s easy to follow!

Worked
This worked first time. Was dubious but it worked and was easy to use. These products are designed for the centre tread,if used on the shoulder it might not last but at this price handy just to have at hand .

Works amazingly well and provides amazing value.
After getting a bad rear wheel puncture in my ride-on mower and finding it difficult to remove the wheel due to the need of a specialist tool I didn’t have, I ordered this kit which arrived the next day. Within an 30 minutes of it arriving I was lying on the floor of the garage, reaming out the leaking damage and inserting one of the 15 plug strips according to the written instructions provided. My only difficulty was, due to the rear body overhang, was penetrating the thick rear tyre surface, which I managed by screwing-in the tool rather than merely pushing it. From lying down to slicing off the excess tails on the plug and spraying the repair to check for leaks, took no longer than ten minutes. And I still have the wherewithal for another 14 repairs! I am keeping the kit in my car in future.

Came in a case that was dirty and faded on front
No good as a present as case had a very been around the block look. The knife is very small and flimsy. It looks like it came out a Christmas cracker. The strings look substantial enough but some are more sticky than others. From the reviews I expected better. The handles on tools are better than some but the reamer stem has no cutting edge just a smooth twist
