THIS.... Is IYEE NATURE's 12-inch Gel Memory Foam Mattress.... and right off the bat I want to say that this bed is more on the firm side. When buying a mattress in a box, from any random brand, it can be hard! Especially when spending large amounts of money. I am here to say that the 12" option is legit!This mattress is from a box, meaning it is vacuum sealed down and expands when you open it (mine opened in just a few hours and I slept on it the same night. The bed had the typical off smell once it opened, but faded away in just a couple of days.The mattress is more on the firm side, however, the first couple of inches are made of a squishy memory foam that kept me cool all night (and I am a hot sleeper)! Past that, it was more on the firm side so I was able to sink down and still have support in any direction I turn. The bed also is great for that time of night with a friend and had zero issues, and the firmness kept me from sliding as well!The best part about this mattress is that you can get it smaller or thicker depending on how much foam and memory foam you think you might want, I got this for my guest bedroom but am really thinking about replacing my actual mattress with this same one as I enjoy it so much! I think that you can certainly find better mattresses than this one but at a significantly higher price. This is not my first box mattress in this price range so I have been around the block and the only mattress I like more is my several thousand-dollar purple mattress.I highly recommend this mattress for anyone needing something in this price range and honestly below $1000 as this is THAT good. It keeps you cool, comfortable and supported and I think that you will enjoy it just as much as I did. If not, amazon is great with returns so just hit them up if it isn't for you!

Seriously, if you suffer from sciatica issues and looking for a firm but supportive mattress, that won’t cost you an arm and a leg, look no further. Definitely takes 48 hrs to air out to get to its truest potential. Definitely pull back the cover on the mattress completely as you air it out, it does make a difference as it is expanding. The bed is very firm, but not overly squishy and supports your pressure points well. Price point is very reasonable for someone on a tight budget, without sacrificing comfort. Kinda mad at myself that I didn’t purchase this bed sooner, so i could have healed my sciatica episode quicker. And I can see where some reviewers may think that this bed is too hard because of firmness, and went and bought a mattress topper to put on top of it. However, my back has always needed a super firm mattress to severe sciatica pain. I have slept on it for almost two months now and can say this is not for people who like that squishy sink in cloud feeling, its for people who need firm but not so overly firm that its a rock.

My dad is 92 years old and pretty set in his ways. I think he's the original tight-wad. I have no idea how old his mattress was but I know it was at least 20 years old.... and he still thought it was the greatest mattress ever. He would not consider ever having another. He had to go into rehab for a couple of months so I took the opportunity to get a new one for him. This one sounded like a good one, firm, easy to order and set up and affordable. Well, he noticed immediately that I got him a new mattress and was not happy.... because I shouldn't have spent the money. Good Grief!!!! He's had it for about a year and now he wonders how he ever did without it. He says it is the most comfortable mattress he's ever slept on, still thinks I paid to much - and no, I did not - but that's just him. He does finally agree that he did need a new mattress, because he didn't know what he was missing. He sleeps well and that's all I need to know. I didn't realize he still was hanging on to that horrible old mattress. What a difference a good, new mattress can make in someone's life. This mattress is perfect for those on a budget. I've actually tried it and it's extremely comfortable and supportive. Lightweight enough to set up and turn and flip when necessary.

So I’ll admit I didn’t measure the bed frame before ordering because I assumed a twin bed would fit a twin frame. (As opposed to stuffing a twin xl into a twin frame). It seems this bed is slightly off in the dimensions. It could stand to be a couple inches shorter side to side and a couple inches longer end to end. You can see in the photo how it’s pressing on the guard rail and there is space left at the end. Now, this photo was taken just as I had unrolled it so it did expand a bit over time but that would just make it bigger all around, not any thinner side to side. It was rather difficult to get the mattress cover and sheets on as it’s sort of heavy as well as being a tight squeeze side to side (and on the top bunk as well)! It was for my 9 year old son and he is the only one that has slept on it so far and he says it’s comfy. The bottom bunk has a 12” mattress of similar make (I believe it’s Hotel brand from Sam’s) but I had to order an 8” for the top due to needing to be shorter than the railing for safety reasons. It does seem to be of good quality. It wasn’t extremely stinky or anything when we unwrapped it. The cover is soft (and I believe removable for washing). We have a kid and animals so we choose to use a mattress cover (pul lined for waterproofness) under the sheet but this adds minimal thickness since it’s essentially just a liner. The cover fit easily. The regular twin sheet fit easily. Just wish the dimensions would have fit our bed a little better. I have not compared to other bed sizes so I don’t know if this is a universal issue or just an issue with my bed. Over all I feel like this was a good purchase.
