Review: Plaster, not stone/cement - Believe all the reviews that say this is brittle. I thought the cracks in others reviews were shipping errors. It’s not. We’ve used this fire pit 3 times and because it’s a fireplace, it’s been outside. Well, with the rainy summer season this thing has been water boarded. The top and sides have swollen and cracked and fallen apart. Cement/stone shouldn’t do that. This thing is painted plaster or some other mixed medium that should not be exposed to water and humidity. I have a wood cubby shelf by my front door in our screened in patio and that has held up better than this “stone” fireplace. Buyer beware, look elsewhere.

Purchased this about 3 years ago, and it didn't even make it to this summer. The metal man inside completely rusted out and they dont make a replacement, or even one in the size that would fit this Fire pit. Definitely would not recommend. Not worth the money at all!
