I was looking for a way to use my laptop (2015 Macbook Air) as a monitor for my Xbox 360 and so it was important that the card was easy to set up, had very low latency, and worked for at least 1080p 60Hz. After looking at many other cards, I was worried they would all use the same components under the cover and so buying a slightly more expensive card would not make a difference. However, when I plugged it into my laptop it was instantly recognized as a camera source so I could set up the display using OBS in less than 5 minutes after a quick Google search. Plus, the video quality was amazing, fully using my laptop display without any signs of compression or downscaling from 1080p. I think there was some latency, but I managed to adjust in 30 minutes of playing and now I use it on a daily basis with no issues. I would say it was well worth the money.

Just what I was after to start converting some old VHS tapes to digital from my old VHS player with a scart to hdmi cable and this works a treat with OBS software.

Requires 3rd part software such as OBS Studio (Open Broadcast Software) which in turn requires capable graphics card. Works on Windows, ok on linux -- but could not use because of no GPU.

Great for capturing video from another screen, which is what I needed it for. Simple plug and play. Good quality picture as well

the problem is; is that the video capture device can only capture it 30 fps with my nintendo switch. apparently, it's good for people who are on a budget but due to it selling into an incredibly cheap price - the quality itself is just mid overall; decent budget video capture device. as shown with the video attached, it is capped to 30 fps due to the limitation of the device (recorded on obs)

The capture card is quite amazing for the little money it costs! It records at 1080p, as advertised, and the resulting picture quality is very good! It can capture at any frame rate between 5 and 60. Outputs 30FPS at 1080o. Good packaging. There are 2 downsides however: 1. The video is captured with limited color range, i.e. extremely bright scenes will be completely white, extremely dim scenes will be only black. 2. It cannot handle anything above 1080p input, at least for me. Both my PC and Laptop with both Ubuntu and Windows recognise the capture card and input more than 1080p, but the device simply displays a black screen. NOTE: If you try 4K, it might get stuck at a black screen. To revert it back, change the refresh rate on the output device to lower than 60 (ex: 59) and then back to 60. I tested the capture card using my desktop as source and my laptop as receive. I tried it with OBS on Windows 10 and Ubuntu 20 and was recognised immediately by both. The settings do need to be adjusted, however. If the video is choppy or the screen is black, change the "Video format" in OBS from "Auto" or "YUYV 4:2:2" to "JPEG" on Windows and on Linux JPEG does not work (at least for me), but all other options do work without any problem!

Ottimo per streaming e facile da collegare a dir poco perfetto, all'inizio ho avuto un piccolo problema di audio nel mio caso. (Utilizzando la Switch 1) Sembra che l'audio sia leggermente in ritardo, ma con questa impostazione di obs sono riuscito a regolarlo senza problemi. Non ho avuto ancora problemi di surriscaldamento anche dopo una sessione di 6/7 ore di fila, cinque Stelle meritatissime!
