I have previously bought the medium shade. On the whole it’s excellent (as you can see from the pictures of my very tatty tantalus!) I find touching up individual scratches more difficult because it’s harder to blend it in to match the existing wood but even so I have used it in that way. What I prefer to do is slap it over the whole surface which works a treat. Sometimes I need to do a second or third ‘pass’ over a particularly bad scratch but the piece always comes out looking much better than when I started. I’ve just ‘Tableau-d’ a whole chest of drawers bought for peanuts at auction which was very tired, marked and scratched. It’s now sitting in my living room! I have no idea what’s in this stuff - there is no odour and it’s very thin but if you get it on your fingers there’s definitely an oily residue. Both medium and dark are very ‘red’ in the bottle so always test first. Don’t use it on pine - it just doesn't work. You’re better off sanding that back and applying Briwax. I have not personally tried it on floors, but have used it on solid mahogany bookshelves. The plastic bottle only contains 100ml. so it depends on how big the floor is and if it is real wood and not laminate. When there is a lot of light scratches, the best resultI found was to cover the entire area uniformly, not patches. Still it`s inexpensive so you could experiment on other wood first. Wasn't sure what kind of product to go for but so glad I chose this one - works brilliantly, its difficult to actually find what you've touched up afterwards.
