Best game for learning phonics, spelling and vocabulary
My grandson absolutely loves this game. It's kind of like Uno, very easy to play. You start with five cards and you have to put down a card with either the same vowel sound or the same beginning letter. There are also wild cards that let you change card suits. The kids have to say the word on every card they put down, so it really reinforces their reading and pronunciation. The first player to get rid of all their cards says "I win!" usually followed by "Let's play again! Let's play again!" It's almost like they're being tricked into learning. There are two decks, one for short vowels and one for long vowels, so it's two games in one. Schools should use this game, kids just love it. I like it too, it gives me something fun to do with my grandson and I feel like I'm helping him learn.

Great for Tutoring
Got this game for our tutoring business. Both the tutors AND the kids love it so much! We've been getting several kids in the K-5th grade that struggle with reading and this game has been such a fantastic way to get them engaged and sounding out words. This really helps to break down the CVC differentiation for the kids. Even the kids that HATE reading have been really pulled into the game! Please make more of these cards so that the kids can keep playing for years!

This Is the Foundation of Student comprehension, reading, and vocabulary.
The package with the cards arrived shrink-wrapped, I like that. The package that contained the cards is thick, sturdy, and durable, to protect the cards for many years. On top the cards were instructions on how to play; the rules; and which game to play. A coupon code to scan for discounts was also included. There are two (2) decks of flash cards, each is also shrink-wrapped. Each deck of flash cards weighed 4.1 ounces. You can tell which flash cards goes with which game, i.e., short or long vowel game. The short vowel games use the lower case “i” in the word ‘win, and the long vowel game uses the upper case “I”. The vowel that is important is a different color from the word. The cards are smooth, but do not feel the same quality as a good deck of playing cards and will likely bend over the time these are used. Each card is about 0.31mm thick and are 3.4” by 2.4” in size. The box notes the date of manufacture of the cards, their composition: Art Paper, and country of origin, China. The instructions set out how to play. Whether the game is played, or the cards are used as flash cards, this is a fun, educational game. The idea of using these cards is to stimulate a young child’s mind. This offers any child opportunity to have a hands-on learning experience. To stimulate a fun and easy way to learn phonics. The price is reasonable. There are colors to assist the player. It’s easy to move about; and helps a child’s visual memory skills. Great way to encourage children to read, experiment, and that it’s not the end of the world if they get things wrong. It’s a great foundation for reading and language skills, which is the foundation of literacy. We hope our thoughts assist in your decision.
