Review: Very decent pressing, until there is a better edition this one might be the one to get - I think this edition (the one cut by Vlado Meller) is a strong perhaps 4.5 but since there is no way to rate it so i will rate it a 5. Sound could have been improved a bit but it's nice that it's well distributed in 2 discs instead of them trying to cramm it all in one disc as it has happened with other albums and it's also basically dead quiet wax, which, given some recent releases i would consider it a blessing. It's also nice that it's a gatefold cover since the californication edition that is supposed to be the best one out there wasn't even given a proper gatefold cover. I played this a few weeks ago and i don't entirely remember but i think the inner sleeves are not too good, they probably require at least a complimentary set of inner plastic sleeves since i think these were just coarse paper sleeves. Back to the sound i would say that it's a bit flat and dynamics don't really shine much, but it's even and it sounds enjoyable for itself. Hopefull one day it will get a special treatment and we will be enjoying the definitive edition with as much dynamics popping out as possible. Any way, if you consider this album a must-have, this edition might just do it for you. Any way, if you consider this album a must-have, this edition might just do it for you. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good *by C***N on 2 December 2025* Bought as a gift ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Ever Album?! *by A***5 on 28 October 2015* What can I say, what an incredible album, every track is amazing, 'throw away your television' is the weakest but stil great particularly live, features the Chilis greatest line up of course of kiedes, frusciante, flea and Smith, impossible to pick my favourite track by the way, dosed, the zephyr song, tear, on mercury, minor thing, Venice queen, can't stop etc I couldn't possibly choose, this album always reminds me of a great time in life aswell, I always say this is the album that got me into the Chilis and music in general because at the time I wasn't a huge fan of music but by the way changed that it made me go back and buy all of chilis previous stuff and Ive been hooked since, I am a massive chilis fan so I love near enough all there songs but I know people who hate the Chilis but stil love this record. I also love the fact this was my first ever album also the greatest?! Don't take my word for it buy it and hear for yaself!! If you think your not a fan of the Chilis this record may change your mind it's that great. The best ever album?!
