A: The soles are nice and solid but definitely not heavy. They are lovely warm and comfortable slippers for indoors.

**Q: Are these slippers machine washable?**
A: Yes they are, I washed mine on wool cycle came up lovely. I also dried them partially on tumble dry to fluffy them back up.
