Atkins products have been around for a long time and even if you're not on the Atkins plan their products are a nice replacement for "whole calorie" snacks. I decided to try the peanut butter cups because I'm a Reece's fan (nothing will EVER replace a Reece's in my eyes), but just don't want or need all the sugar of "the real thing". Was pleasantly surprised first at the size of these -- they're actually about the size of a regular Reece's -- and at the taste. It's not like taking a spoon of real peanut butter (of course, then it wouldn't be so much lower in calories and fat if it was), but it's definitely an acceptable substitute. It takes care of the craving, is actually satisfying, and was definitely fresh. There's not a LOT of protein in one, but 3 grams of protein in a peanut butter cup is nothing to sneeze at!!!

First off the product itself. These are very delicious. I can't attest to whether they affect blood sugar because I didn't test for that, but keeping to a couple a day didn't seem to make me gain weight and they were a good alternative to my favorite candy, Reeses cups. The last time I ordered this was in the cooler months and they were pretty much perfect. However I ordered them again recently and they were melted. Amazon failed to ship this with an ice pack so all the cups were distorted from the heat, half melted, and there was a little bit of a mess from some of them leaking. If Amazon would ship this with an ice pack in the box then it could have really helped. I live in Houston, TX and it's the summer time, I want to order some more but I don't want them to arrive melted due to the way Amazon handles this so I feel like I have to wait for the weather to get cooler again. I tried ordering again in October of 2025 and it still arrived partially melted because we have summer-like heat in Texas. It needs to be shipped with an ice pack in warm months.
