Q: Does anyone know where I can buy just the case for this? I can see Argos sell it with a case now.

Have you tried Googling for a case? Perhaps a B&D spares web site may sell them. Alternatively, look for a generic electric tool case which may do the job. Stanley have one and there are a few on Amazon.

I believe all black n decker 18v tools the battery is the same. Not 100% tho

Hi I bought black n decker ones at the same time, but on ebay I looked for compatable with black n decker 18v. Hope this helps. I also found that looking at the connecting end of the blade match it up with the one that looks the same, that also worked for me. From China.

Q: Could this saw through an old pine tabletop?

Yes it should, assuming that the table top is not too thick, say 2/3 inches max. But is won’t be a clean or straight cut. The blade that comes with the saw is a general purpose with large teeth. Also impossible to get a straight line cut with the saw, it’s designed for ‘rough’ sawing. For an accurate cut you will need either a circular saw or a jigsaw, and both will need a guide. The best way for an accurate cut is to use a good and sharp large handsaw.
