PureChimp Matcha Green Tea Powder - 1.75 Ounces (50g) of Ceremonial Grade Matcha for Baking, Lattes and Smoothies - Lemongrass

Being new to the world of Matcha, I am trying various brands and having tried and liked this brands plain matcha, I thought I would give the lemongrass blend a go. What a pleasure, I find that the lemon grass lifts the matcha slightly making an already pleasant drink an even more pleasurable experience. I think it is a bit expensive, but I appreciate their ethics and support of charity so will purchase again.

Matcha has became an all time fav. It’s a superfood and good for most things and this comes in an environmental packaging.

This was my first time ordering from PureChimp, and it's the first matcha green tea I have like!I was a little disappointed that there was absolutely no lemon flavour/scent (not even a hint ), but the tea itself tastes good - there was no bitterness and it mixes well, apart from the fine fibres of lemongrass.I'm unsure if there are any health benefits of the lemongrass in this green tea, but due to the absence of lemon flavour and because of the fibres it brings, I would probably buy the plain green tea next time.

I absolutely love it and going to order some already. I'm not a fan of green tea but I really do enjoy this for some odd reason. I also add it to smoothies and juices if I want to take it quickly. Not sure if it is actually helping with weight loss lol but early days yet. I definitely do feel I have a lot more energy and a skip in my step.

The lemon grass matcha isn't over powering and tastes lovely.It is a little bit grainy but as long as you stir it half way through it's still lovely and pleasant.I will be buying this again.

The flavoured teas from PureChimp contain a natural sweetener called Stevia. As a relatively new matcha drinker I hadn't realised quite how much of an effect this would have on the tea - it's really very sweet!I wrote to PureChimp and they have very kindly replaced the Lemon tea with a pot of their plain matcha which does not contain Stevia and is much, much better in my view. I tend to make plain matcha by infusing it with a herbal teabag to add a little flavour without sweetness and this was great. It's also very good value. However I don't rate the Lemon tea very highly as it's just too sweet for my tastes (though if you prefer your matcha sweetened, this may be a good option!).

Not a good flavour.Does not froth up.

Not sure this has helped my energy levels as I feel as tired when I take this as when I don’t. However I’ve been mixing with my shake powder -gives my powder a greeny tint that may put off some but does not bother me much as it does not affect the taste. Tried once in a hot drink and made my drink bitter so I now only use it in my shakes. I’ve never tried this alone so can’t comment.
