The best designs are the simplest and this is on inspection quite a simple design but it's brilliantly effective. On car journeys it doesn't spill, not on the motorway, not on roundabouts, not when braking. It's sturdy and solid and even when the dog does manage to bash into it, it doesn't spill. The bowl comes with velcro pads and sticky pads but it's steady enough that I've not needed these. It recently had its biggest test when the dog rushed through my legs as I went down steps. I stumbled and the bowl flew into the air and landed upside down on the pavement. I took a few moments to regain my balance and pick it up, sure I'd need to refill it. The outer ring had popped off, yet amazingly it was still more than half full. The bowl stores more than enough water for a day so my dog has a constant supply of water without me topping it up all day, unlike most bowls. Because of the design the water stays clean as anything dropped in (like food, biscuits, etc) just stay on the top and don't mix with the water below. The design also stops the dog gulping down her water too fast and she's learnt to slow down, whereas before with other bowls she'd rush and suffer hiccups and be gagging afterwards. This is now the only bowl I use for the dog's water. We take it with us everywhere and she uses it at home too. It's been worth every penny and I'd recommend it to anyone.

I have bought three of these now, having got the first one to put in our Campervan. I'd seen it on Dragon's Den, and thought then that it was a great idea, and friends who had one raved about it, I decided to buy one. Having used it in the 'van, I saw how, as well as preventing spills when travelling, or carrying a full bowl, it also prevents splashing when the dog is drinking. Our Labrador is a very splashy drinker, but when she's drinking from this, the floor stays dry. The only negative I have to say about it, is that it can be tricky to see how much water is in it, and can be fiddly to fill if you do it properly by taking the top off and tipping the float plate out so you can see the Max Fill line. You can just add water with it fully assembled, but there is a bit of guess work involved there, and filling through the holes in the floating plate can be slow. Very good value, well made, and extremely sturdy, even including velcro pads so it grips onto carpet, and companion sticky backed pads if you want it to stick to a slippery surface

Very very good bowl. I wanted our dog to have water on the move in our campervan and this is the perfect solution. Originally I was using traditional dog bowl and it was a nightmare, even when not on the move one of us would step on it and we would have spillages daily. It's robust, spill proof (litrally I have to hold upside down and tilt around to empty) and perfect for cars etc to make sure there's always water avaliable. Our dog isn't greedy but I can imagine this will help also with a dog that is greedy splashing around because it allows only a certain amount at a time which is good. Other reviews mention the black peice struggle to pull off, not sure why you would need to pull it off aside from occasional clean and no issues with this my end. Highly reccomend this product its well worth money for anyone who's dog travels with them.

This is a really nice quality item. We have two Cavaliers & a Golden Retrever retriever which regularly travel with us in our motorhome. Having had numerous water spills from regular dog bowls, we thought we'd give one of these a try. We are so glad we did. Although it initially seems expensive for a plastic water bowl, id say it was easily worth the extra over a regular bowl. The weight of the bowl is impressive and A perforated plastic insert inside the bowl floats just under the surface which seems to do a great job of keeping the contents inside and the Velcro on the bottom surface really anchors it to the rug in our motorhome. An added bonus is that because only a small amount of water sits above the floating insert, the spaniels don't get wet ears like they used to and the slobber associated with our Retriever is almost reduced to zero. It's so good that we're buying a second one to keep at home. Excellent product

I still cannot believe that the lady who invented this product was turned down by the investors on Dragons Den. I understand she has gone on to sell in huge numbers, especially in the USA, and I can see why. This product really works for our dog and he quickly got used to drinking when on the move. It does exactly what they said it would and I have yet to find a drop spilt whilst driving around. The ingenious internal floating plate only allows a small amount into the bowl at any one time and then lowers to let more water up from the bottom. I am so pleased that, especially on hotter days (when we get them!), our dog can rehydrate anytime without us having to stop en-route. The large version has a generous 1.4 L capacity and we have found that adding a few ice cubes is not a problem as long as you don't exceed the fill level. So simple yet so effective. Wish we had been able to get one years ago for our previous dog and prevented the many incidents of slopped water in the car down the years. If your dog takes to it, I don't believe that there is anything out there, quite as good as the Road Refresher.

他の色もあると良かったのですが溢れにくいとの事で購入しました。確かに揺すっても大丈夫でした。 災害時に留守だった時用に飲み水確保の目的でした。 非常用に置いたスタンドタイプのノズル式給水器は使ってくれそうも無いので色々探しました。 こちらがベストでした。

This is a great dog's bowl, Especially fabulous for trips in the car, but also useful at home. My last one lasted 20 years.

Excellent ! Mon intérieur me dit MERCI ! Je complète avec une gamelle en extérieur. Ceci est une gamelle d’appoint , le chien (surtout s’il est grand!) ne peut pas vraiment boire à sa guise. (Chien de 60Kg) n’hésitez pas , ça limite VRAIMENT l’effet piscine intérieure.

Pour ma chienne a poils longs c'est pas mal elle met moins d'eau sur sa barbiche et aussi sur le sol. C'est assez stable en voiture donc elle peut boire pendant les longs trajets ça ne se renverse pas. Se lave facilement. J'en ai racheté un deuxième.
