Easy to make and great tasting. Ingredients Enriched Flour Bleached (WHEAT flour, niacin, iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), Sugar, Cocoa Processed with Alkali, Corn Syrup, Leavening (baking soda, monocalcium phosphate, sodium aluminum phosphate). Contains 2% or Starch, Modified Palm Oil, Carob Powder, Propylene Glycol Mono and Diesters of Fatty Acids, Distilled Monoglycerides, Salt, Dicalcium Phosphate, Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate, Xanthan Gum, Cellulose Gum, Artificial Directions You will need: 1-1/4 cups water 1/2 cup vegetable oil 3 eggs Time to Bake! 1. Heat oven to 350degF for shiny metal or glass pan or 325degF for dark or nonstick pan. Grease bottom only of a 13" x 9" pan or the bottom and sides of all other pans. 2. Mix Cake Mix, water, oil and eggs in large bowl with mixer on medium speed or beat vigorously by hand 2 minutes. Pour into pan. 3. Bake as directed in chart or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan. Cool completely before frosting. For 13" x 9" pan, bake 30-35 minutes. For two 8" round pans, bake 30-35 minutes. For two 9" round pans, bake 25-30 minutes. For a Bundt(r) pan, bake 40-45 minutes. For cupcakes (makes 24), bake 14-19 minutes. Heat oven to 375degF for shiny metal pan or 350degF for dark or nonstick pan. Spoon batter into cups (about 3 Tbsp. each). If using dark or non-stick pan, bake 3-5 minutes longer.

The fruit will sink, the cake will rise high. You want to stop the baking before the middle is totally baked. This way when you slice it (after having cooled it) you get a custardy mix in the centre which is delectable. I also use the mix to make muffins and add fresh blueberries or grated apple (about 3-4 for the packet). b) add coffee granules or unsweetened cocoa to the mix and make a coffee or chocolate cake (with streusel for the first, icing/filling for the second). c) use a fairly bitter chocolate filling. Any of these yields excellent results. Hope this helps!

I also add a pinch of salt). The resulting sponge is moist and billowy light, in a way which I have never been able to replicate by mixing my home recipe (and I've been a keen cook and baker for over 20 years). However: there is a 'but'. Like all Betty Crocker ready made mixes the mix is awfully sweet. It really needs something to cut the sweetness. I couldn't eat it as it is. So here are (in my experience) three good options: a) after you've poured the batter in a 22cm tin, add pear or apple halves (you garnish the whole surface), then sprinkle with flaked almonds and bake for about 40-45mn at 150°C in a fan oven.
