Fretboard Logic Se: The Reasoning Behind the Guitar's Unique Tuning Plus Chords Scales and Arpeggios Complete: 1 & 2 (Fretboard Logic Guitar Method Ser) : Edwards, Bill: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: Ground breaking approach for any style. - I have played the guitar since my early teens and, despite having a reasonable foundation in music theory, my 'repertoire' on guitar playing was really a bit of a scrap book, which didn't really all tie in together. This book has changed all that in a matter of days, enabling me to quickly map what I have onto the fret board, and expand in any direction, albeit up & down the neck, or across musical genres. A beginner will also find it clear & concise and could avoid the trap that I fell into, by applying a reliable structure to their understanding (via CAGED). For me, it was like finding the holy grail and the many hours of enjoyable practice that I've had over the years, have all now come together, and I am newly inspired to play for many, many more. It also provides a wonderful structure to apply if teaching is a part of your role. Buy it & try it irrespective of your level. Review: The Fretboard Bible - I would call this book the bible of the fretboard. Finally a book that really helps you build some good foundation on the fretboard logic. It uses a very unique and understandable approach on how chords, scales and patterns work on the fretboard without focusing on dump memorization. The most important thing is that it teaches you in a very easy and efficient way on how all these chords and scales (you probably already know) are built. It is good for both beginners and advanced players as well. Beginners might find it a bit difficult to understand few concepts towards the end of volume II but a second reading from start to end will reveal a lot of precious knowledge. Highly recommended!

The concept of using the same shapes for chords and appegios etc is very powerful. It encourages practice to strengthen my left hand. It encourages practice which takes time - but leads to greater understanding of the fretboard and how to use it. It has helped me to improve.

Best Way To Learn Guitar
After having the book for a short time and working on the material I would have to say this is the best way to learn guitar for anyone . Straight forward and easy to use this will definitely be my number one recommendation and teaching method.

Very interesting.
This was a very interesting book to an amateur guitar player like myself. It answered some of those universal "why is the guitar set up in this way?" type of questions.

Excellent
This book combines volumes 1 and 2 of Bill Edwards excellent Fretboard Logic series. This two volumes offer excellent explanations and exercises for the "advanced beginner" and intermediate player who perhaps needs to brush up on his or her knowledge. Contains loads of material around common scales, triads, arpeggios and chords as well as going over the CAGED system and its application. I find I keep referrting back to it again and again despite having owned and used it for over 3 years now.

If you really want to learn the basics + of soloing and IF you’re truly willing to put the work into it, this is definitely one of the best guides you can purchase to get the job done. I’ve been playing and jamming with friends for many years. I’m impressed. You will be, too.
