Great toy, lovely features, the menu was a lovely addition

With it's super interactive features, this play coffee maker was an excellent choice. It has a charming mix of durable plastic and wood. The components are just right for little hands. Features include: wooden discs that can be combined to create a variety of different drinks; a cute booklet that simply and visually explains how to mix 'flavours', and two chocolate chip cookies. When the dial is turned, it emits 'real' coffee making sounds, which last as long as it takes to push down the plunger and 'make' the coffee drink. The batteries needed for this are included and are safely tucked away at the back. It comes with two transparent coffee cups, which allow you to see the layers of coffee flavours within ; carton of milk and a sugar shaker, which fit neatly in the back of the machine. It is super-interactive and allows for plenty of discovery and role-play. I think it is the best choice for a play barista simulation and is value for money too.

Such a wonderful design, my 5 and 2.5 year old absolutely love it! They especially enjoy the creativity of combining different discs to make the different hot drinks, and the realistic sounds the machine makes. The sugar shaker and cookies are also great additions. The only downside is it got knocked onto the floor by accident and it kind of dislodged the bottom a little, so it’s a tiny bit wobbly now. But otherwise a fantastic toy and would highly recommend for kids of all ages. ETA: 2 years on and my kids and their friends still really enjoy playing with this, even though we need to replace the battery as it no longer makes the sounds.

Really well-built, brilliant toy. My daughter was 10 months old when I bought it for her. She's now 16 months and has played with it almost every day. Cheap, cheerful and teaches good motor skills and process management. What more could you want? Battery seems to last forever and it all stores together nicely when they're done.

My little boy is 1.5yrs old & absolutely loves this toy, keeps him busy for a long time, making everyone drinks. His older sister often plays with it with him too which is a bonus. Very well made. I'd love to find some similar toys as he enjoys it that much.

One of my child's favourite toys. Bought for their 3 year old birthday but I think they probably could have started playing with it some time after they turned 2. It's been almost a year of playing with it and they still like playing with this toy and making coffees for visitors to our house! It is still in great condition and looks brand new as we look after our toys, although if your kids destroy things easily then you might want to laminate the menu to ensure that part lasts even longer (its plastic coated paper but i can imagine in rough hands it could get bent/broken). Great gift for both boys and girls and good price point. Really compact design so would be suitable for gifting to families who don't have a lot of space/have too many big toys.

The coffee pods were missing from the box. The toy is purposeless without the coffee. Aside from this issue, the toy itself is small and compact but sturdy and bright in colour. It has sounds when using the toy and has the small batteries included. The coffee card/menu is easy for children to see and understand. If the pods were not missing, it would be a 5* review! EDIT: A new set was sent to me with all pieces intact.

So excited for this Battat barista toy! My kids love helping their dad make coffee every morning, so this will be perfect for them to make their own. I’ve bought other Battat toys before, and they’ve all been great quality and a big hit with my kids. Can’t wait to give this to them for Christmas! Updated review I bought this for my son for Christmas, and both my son and daughter love making us coffees and lattes. The wooden pieces are high quality and very well made. The coffee-making sounds are a cute addition and make the play even more fun. Great pretend play toy!

This little drink maker is the cutest. I didn’t realize it makes brewing sounds when we bought it but it isn’t loud and it adds to the experience for my child. Wooden toys are my favorite and this one doesn’t disappoint. It’s easy to use for little hands, well made, and encourages him to use his imagination. It’s a little on the small size but it’s fine.
