**Q: does this come with a tape/cartridge?**
A: Yes, one got a good few labels out of the first one, ordered more aswell though, the tape that came with it was black writing on clear

**Q: Will Thais machine take ribbon tap**
A: I'm not exactly sure what you mean by ribbon tape? The label maker takes cassettes, which are loaded with the laminated label tape. You can order them through amazon at the same time as the label maker.

**Q: Do you need batteries and are they included**
A: Hi There, 

It does not come with batteries unfortunately.
It takes six Treble A batteries.
I bought this for my wife she loves it 👍.

Good affordable label printer. I don’t need anything fancy, but I’m used to labelling connections, terminals and devices at work, so decided to do the same at home. I also wanted to label stored food supplies and shelves due intolerances, maybe make some clothes labels for the little one. People who complain about the label or font sizes etc, simply didn’t bother to learn how to use it. Of course there will be always a margin on the left due to the distance between the printing nozzle and the cutting blade, but you can tweak the rest. It doesn’t need to be set to auto. To be honest, it’s pretty intuitive like any other handheld label printer - I chucked the manual in the bin :) bear in mind, that the supplied tape is transparent, not white, so perhaps start with labelling your jars first! Also, you can get third party tapes for half the price. I just wish it printed nylon terminal wraparound. I have a previous model in the office and it’s still going strong after 7 years. However, you will get much better quality and choice of tapes from a professional industrial printer, but be prepared to spend five times more for a budget one.
