Q: Hello. i just installed this. at night the light stays on the whole time. does it really need two days charging? is that the issue?

Hello no ours went out after 30 seconds. Got brighter after a couple of days. Is there somthing interfering with the sensor maybe or could be a faulty light. They are so good so worth sending back and getting a replacement maybe. Hope this helped.

Q: Will this lamp power up on a north facing wall?

Mine is on a south-east facing wall and powers up and runs OK. It will power up on a north facing wall but it will not be able to charge the battery as well as it would if it were in direct sunlight. Mine is still on but rather dim at one-o-clock in the morning, but as its prime purpose is to illuminate the house number, I don't particularly want callers at this time of night!

We always recommend a couple of days for the first time to get a good base charge into the unit.

Q: what is the angle of the sensor coverage, as I intend to put a couple of these down the path at the side of house, & approached from the side?

Pretty narrow. Light comes on only when within less than 1 metre when approached from the side.
