The Enclosure gets Very Hot, during video editing. The Enclosure is metal outside, inside one side is plastic & heat sink is metal. I am using the ORICO M.2 NVMe SATA SSD Enclosure for 2TB Aorus Gen 4 SSD, for Final Cut Pro on iMac.

Although it is nice and well finishing it can’t be used with 2 tb and 4TB enclosures especially if u have MacBook . So don’t buy it if u want it to be used as external enclosure or SSD it need external power supply . It works with 1 tb only don’t believe them. But you can use it through external hub that have power supply or you connect you power supply to the hub . In other word large capacity SSD 2tb and 4 tb need more power to work perfectly

Item arrived quickly just in time for my 4TB M.2 NVMe SSD. Easily installed it without any tools. This is now my backup drive. Transferring my HDD backups to this little beast. So small and fast. Happy with this purchase.

Well, the thing works - but only after I spent a day in frustration, trying different types of formatting options, and nothing working consistently. Until I came online to see how come this thing had a high rating on Amazon, and saw among the reviews that some people had issues with the cable. And when you think about the price of stand alone cables... perhaps we shouldn't be surprised or upset that the included cable is trash. I just wish they didn't include the cable, to save us the frustrations.

I upgraded my existing M2 drive and wanted to keep the old one. I used this to turn it into an external storage device for my wife to use. She loves the color and it has a good transfer rate for her needs.
