I use a Media Mod on a GoPro Hero10 Black for moto-vlogging. A mic mounts inside my helmet at chin level. The external mic jack on the Media Mod accepts a TRS (not TRRS) male plug. This lavalier mic is a direct plug-in to a 3.5mm Media Mod jack with a TRS male plug that does not require a converter/adapter from TRRS to TRS. The mic's quality and sound are good, especially at this price point. As always, you get what you pay for, but this mic is definitely functional. I'm giving it a 5-star rating for its usefulness and low price. If you want Rode quality sound, you need a Rode mic and supportive equipment.

I have this plugged into my gopro media mod so that I can record my reactions while riding my scooter. You know, for both entertainment and insurance purposes. My main gripe of the few that I have is the length of the cable. I understand that this is not the intended purpose of a lav mic like this, but I do wish that there was an option to change cable length somehow. However, the included twist tie is more than enough to wrangle the excess length. My other gripe is that it is a little too sensitive sometimes. I would rather not have the saliva rolling inside my mouth recorded but here we are. I suppose that speaks to the quality of the thing, though. Either or, it's a fine microphone.

I've had a number of Lapel Microphones, some costing as much as $100.00 & this is one of the best, if not the best ever, particularly for the low price! It performed good on a Canon T7i video camera, which was not included or mentioned in the advertising, but did not perform quite as good on the Canon Camera as on the GoPro Hero 11. Only did tests inside and did not put on the wind muffler, but had a somewhat noisy room fan funning, and it performed very well with the GoPro, it knocked out the background noise from the fan almost entirely, where the noise from the fan was much more noticeable when using it with the Canon camera. Very good quality lapel microphone, particularly for the money and when used with the GoPro.

I purchased this to record audio for my races. I bought the silly $47 GoPro branded adaptor for Hero 5 mic, which is required for Hero 5, and this mic is NOT compatible with it. Sure, the jack plugs in, but, it doesn't work. All my PC mics will work with this adapter, but not this one, due to the threaded collar on the jack. Not a big deal, except it was listed as being compatible with Hero 5. Total waste of time and money.
