Small But Mighty

This little switch is an absolute networking ninja. Out of the box, it just works — no nonsense, no fiddling, no firmware drama. Plugged it into both a Mac and a Windows PC, and boom: instant link, blazing performance, and zero compatibility weirdness. The 2.5GbE speeds are rock solid. Transfers are buttery smooth, latency is negligible, and it chews through high-bandwidth tasks without breaking a sweat. It runs cool and quiet, even when it’s fully loaded. If a device doesn’t support 2.5GbE, the switch gracefully drops to 1Gbps (T1000) without a hitch. No disconnects, no drops

Dependable 2.5G ethernet switch.

A very reliable unmanaged 2.5G ethernet switch. It has a well built metal case that stays cool without fans. Power usage is minimal. It came at a friendly price on an Amazon deal. Recommended

Great little managed switch

Nice little switch. It's pretty well constructed (metal case) and feels solid and robust. It can be hung on a wall with some screws easily enough. The management interface isn't entirely intuitive and assigning the vlans was a little confusing to start with (and I'm a network guy!)I bought a couple of them to support my Extreme WiFi APs so that I could drive additional SSIDs through on different vlans onto my firewall.Recommended - and can't really beat them for price & quality. A POE+ version would be nice.

Perfect replacement

Perfect replacement for my old Gigabit umanaged switch. I recently upgraded to a 2Gbps connection but wasn't receiving the specified speed. My equipment was fine and so was my cabling (you need at least cat6 cables) and my old switch was the last thing I checked. Now that this multi gig switch is installed all my speed are perfect. It is a little bit larger than it's slower sibling but as I have mine tucked away, it not noticeable.

Plug and play and fast

This switch is very easy to use. It feels quality and has some comfort in its weight. The connectivity speeds and solid and serves a number of devices with no issues.Recommended.

Compact, fast and very much plug 'n play

Bought this alongside a 2.5Gbe PCIe card as we've upgraded our FTTP to 1.6Gbps and wanted full bandwidth available to the main pc. Install was as simple as swapping out the old 1Gb Netgear and popping this in its place and everything negotiated correctly (including a 10/100 device). Some reviews mentioned getting an EU power adapter so I took a gamble but mine came with a UK plug and looks to be UK stock based on the packaging so all happy here.

Switches are all you need for a LAN no router required

I wanted to connect a macOS iMac to a Windows 11 Insider Beta PC through ethernet as sharing large files through the Mesh WiFi would bog down the network even when using the Mesh device's ethernet ports. I tried a direct ethernet connection between both computers with manual IP addresses but the computers would refuse to talk to each other directly. So I learnt that routers are only required when you want to traverse separate networks and switches are all you need to create a local area network LAN. Access points can be added to switches to provide wireless access. So I connected both Mac and PC to the switch with CAT 5 cables. I manually setup incremental IP address as 192.168.0.x and subnet mask as 255.255.255.0 on both computers, 192.168.0.1 is reserved for the switch. I'm sharing folders on macOS so created a sharing user and turned on sharing. On Windows I mapped a network drive with an address like \\192.168.0.x\ and browsed to the folder I wanted to map.Everything works so much faster now at full gigabit speeds and without any of the downsides of cloud storage such as outages, slowdowns, privacy issues and so on. You just need one computer that can play the role of a server which doesn't stop it doing all the other normal computing tasks. I can even put the serving computer to sleep and it'll wake when a LAN request is made.I didn't use the web interface except to confirm it works though I can imagine it would be very useful as seeing how well this works I can see an upgrade from a mesh system to switches and access points happening.
