You start to hook up and go to connect to your vehicle electrics, that’s when you realise that the cable is too short; a big problem right. Somehow you need to find a compatible extension lead to solve the problem. This extension lead is 6 m long; allowing it to be suitable for use with a variety of different sized trailers, and comes with double ended connections; both of which are 12 volt connections. The extension comes coiled in a bag with two ties holding it in place that need to be removed. The cable uncoiled without tangling and feels smooth and of good quality. There are no flaws that I can see, and the cable enters the connectors at the gland or strain relief, depending on which end you are looking at, and there are no cable cores visible. Equally, when putting the extension away, the cable coiled up easily and went back into its bag without any problem for future storage. πŸ”Œ The connectors plugged into my caravan, car, and also the test block that I use, with a firm connection that worked the first time, even with the caravan connectors that have seen better days. The connection was firm but not so tight as to make it difficult to remove the connectors. Latching worked perfectly, and the cable was securely held in place. The extension also features a fold-out metal loop that I think is for hanging it up. But I won’t be using that feature if that is what it is for. 🚐 I think that the extension is great value and works very well. I used it to help me diagnose a lighting problem, and I could use my lighting tester in combination with this. I didn’t need to reverse my car right up to my caravan as this extension gave me a great deal of flexibility.
