What a great way to encourage children's mark making in the early years. I added this to a wall in my early learning program and the children love it. I use water brushes on this so the water is in the brush and I don't have to worry about spilling. We use small spray bottles with water to spray designs onto the calligraphy paper. Doilies, stencils and other items make great tools for spray designs.

This is a GREAT way to entertain a toddler without a mess.

With plain water, cleanup is easy; no stains, no paper wasted. This is not for Asian calligraphy but good for a child learning to write numbers or the alphabet with fingers.

I know this isn’t what it’s suppose be used for, but, it’s a mess free activity for my kiddo.

There is another sheet attached to the back, so you won’t feel the weird special material when you touch the paper. Very clean and high quality.

Mis- understand

The paper is gray… not white as pictured. Also when you use water… it just appears wet -you can get the same effect using water on colored construction paper. I have another set that I purchased from chinatown where in water writing actually appears as black ink -this is what i was expecting and hence disappointed.
