Just re- insulated my loft and used these for the down lighters and extraction fans. I feel safe that the insulation is protected from the heat these items give off. Really good by and dead easy to fit.

Used these in my attic when adding extra insulation. No more draughts into the attic through spot lights. Glad I discovered them and great value on Amazon.

They do exactly as described. A solid down flight cover. Something to be aware of is that they are quite large so if putting them in an attic they may not fit perfectly between joists

Bought these to allow me to insulate the attic after we had spot lights installed in the bathroom. They’re a great size, bigger than you’d expect (you could wear as a hat!) but the size is essential so the plastic doesn’t come into contact with the light fitting or get too hot. Can easily fit in all of the light fitting, transformers, connectors, wires etc under the hood. Have laid the insulation over the hood, this means there’s a lump where each hood stands but I really don’t see why this would be an issue for anyone. All rooms are now warmer due to the added insulation in the attic and months on I’ve had no issues with them. All of the hoods had fire safety rating/kite marks on them so confident they’re the right tool for the job. Have recommended to friends and colleagues.

Probably do work but we're unused on my site. Seemed good quality but are just plastic, worth the money if you have proper access and can secure these so they don't move when installing insulation. Builders were not keen as access was difficult. So more of an installation issue...could they be made part of the insulation I wonder to make securing in place easier 🤔🤔

These are so easy to install, we covered all the recessed spotlights in our house with them before we put in more insulation. This has given us a warmer house with peace of mind not having to worry about any fire hazard or losing precious heat through the lights. I would thoroughly recommend

Don’t know how they protect unless you have a fire , seem a bit pricy , but give the gap protection you need . Light in weight and easy to use

Two of the ten thermal hoods were broken and can’t be used. This product was tightly packed into box with out the necessary bubble wrap. Plastic was broken and cracked. The plastic around the edges of this product is lite and brittle.

Parfait pour isoler les spots dans de la laine de verre. Moins qualitatif que certains mais aussi bien moins cher ..

Cloche indispensable pour installer des sports dans une isolation telle que de la ouate, laine de bois... Très facile à installer.
