Great fan controls
Bought several of these for different projects and they work like they should. No issues.

Works Well
I'm using this to run a small PC fan off of a 12v source, and it's been working beautifully. Though it can turn the fan off and on using the dial, it also works fine if you use an external switch, which was what I needed. It just brings the fan up to the set speed when you turn it on. The dial and fan connector are good quality and the wires are the right gauge.

Durable, good value, works as advertised.
Price rate, work as advertised. I’ve been using it for over a year and haven’t had any quality issues.

No then YES!
I was unable to control speed on a 4 wire blower. On/off only. No speed control. But I found on our fan that the PWM wire was YELLOW and the Tach wire was BLUE. After switching it works very good!

Extremely efficient and highly featured
I use this product in combination with an Industrial Noctua 4 pin PWM 12V fan to control the speed of a ducted ventilation system. The first feature of value is the red LED that indicates when power is being sent to the fan. The second feature of value is the prominent marker on the rotating knob which provides excellent feedback as to what percentage of the range you currently have selected. The third feature of value is by far the most important. It provided uniformly progressive speed control to the point that the fan turned slowly at its lowest speed. This information was determined by first running the fan with a variable voltage lab power supply and varying the voltage to change the speed. I measured in 1 volt increments from 15 volts down to the point the fan stopped turning. This low-speed point was 5 volts and .19 amps. In stark contrast, this PWM device kept the blades spinning smoothly down to .05 amps. After that point, there was a distinctive click and the red LED turned off. I did not have to alter the potentiometer setting to achieve this perfect performance. The fourth feature of value is the wiring configuration. The red and black wires are easily attached to a very wide range of 12 volt power sources, not just computer chassis. I will continue to use this PWM controller in all of my future builds. I can’t think of any improvement that is needed. In addition, the price is very competitive.

Doesn't work
I tried using this as a speed controller for the cooling fan on my PC. I wired it into my 12V lead and plugged in my fan. The knob only turns on the fan to full speed, but does not adjust the speed. I also tried plugging into my 5V leads, but again, the switch only turns the fan on and off (at reduced speed of course since it's 5V). I also confirmed that with a second fan with the same result.

Small, lightweight, led doesn't face front but otherwise works great
Simple little device and works quite well. I would agree with others that the adjustment range isn't quite linear with the knob adjustment; but good enough for most applications. I did add a large electrolytic capacitor to the input on mine given the distance from my power source (about 6-8 feet). I noticed some sluggish operation when adjusting the settings and the capacitor helped remove that. Construction is very good. A couple things I noted that might make it a little better. First, the only mounting method is via the adjustment pot through a panel hole. While the assembly is quite light, it would be nice to have one or two mounting holes (4-40 screws would be great). In an application subject to vibration (in my case this is mounted on my Kubota tractor to control a cooling fan) extra mounting points are a big plus. Second, the led is mounted perpendicular to the pcb. When mounted in my small BUD box the light is essentially useless as it's not oriented to same face as the knob is mounted to. Good thing the fan tells me when it's on. Overall I am quite pleased and would certainly buy another from this seller.
