pain relief almost immediately and it's very light and comfortable to wear.
I received this product just a few hours ago and for the first time in many months, I have felt such great relief. I have been able to hold and cut with a scissors comfortably. I have tried cheaper products and was, without question, very reluctant to spend the amount asked for this brand but I can absolutely without hesitation say, its worth every penny!

If you have thumb pain or weakness, you need this.
I have a form of arthritis called ankylosing spondylitis. While it's mainly in the back, all the joints can ache/hurt. I have to wear various supports and braces as a result. I have NHS issued thumb/wrist supports to try and minimise the pain and damage but they are pretty basic. My right hand is worst because I'm right handed. If I have to write it hurts after less a minute and before I get to 5 minutes I can't write at all. My thumbs now ache all the time. Sometimes when I'm doing something involving my hands I get a sharp stabbing pain which stops me in my tracks. I considered going back to the hospital but felt they wouldn't be able to give me anything particularly substantial, so I looked online for something suitable. I read various reviews but the Push brace particularly interested me. There's another similar by a different manufacturer but this brace received better reviews. I decided to buy the right hand one, with the intention to buy a left hand one if it worked. Having seen many types of supports and braces it's unusual even to me. As you will see from the picture, the functional part is hard plastic which is braced with metal, the other half is strapping (not sure of the material, not neoprene) with velcro to fasten it on to the hand. The plastic is an odd but not unpleasant brown/purpley colour and the straps are light grey. Supports always look like functional items so it doesn't particularly bother me what it looks like. My winter glove went over it fine, as it's not bulky. I sometimes have to walk with two sticks, which I needed on that day - the brace didn't get in the way too much, I could still grip the handle fine. After only an hour I realised only my left thumb was aching - no discomfort from my right. As soon as I got home I ordered a left hand brace and I'm sure you will understand me saying I can't wait for it to arrive. One of the main times my thumb hurts is when using a spray bottle for cleaning - the bottle sits nicely inbetween the thumb and finger, and my thumb doesn't hurt at all. I can drive with it and am wearing it much more than the NHS provided supports. Please make sure to read the manufacturer's instructions above about reshaping the lower thumb part, which isn't mentioned in the instructions in the box. Originally the support dug into my thumb and caused a bruise on my wrist - I've solved this now. Not all positives, though. The material of the straps curl up at the sides, making quite a sharp edge on your skin and after only a day I had cuts on my hand from it digging in. I've solved this by cutting down a cotton glove to use as a liner. Overall though, as one of the few dedicated thumb supports it's fantastic. The design is obviously very well thought out and it really works. There are even some nods towards making it look aesthetically pleasing. I've seem some reviews say the Velcro fails quite quickly and I know it's annoying if this happens but it's easy enough to buy Velcro from craft shops so I'm not concerned about this.

Asolutely fantastic - comfortable for all day use and it works, pain free. But so expensive - maybe becasue they know none of the cheaper alternatives are as good (I've also a cheaper Velpeau which also works but isn't as comfy for all day but fine for short term)

Good - not perfect but one of the better options on the market
I have a problem with my CMC joint and after the latest surgery was looking for a thumb support that would not limit the movement of my wrist. I have had a trusty psb support for many years but it was finally on death's door and a rather funny colour so thought I would give this ago. Positives It completely immobilises the CMC joint without restricting movement for the rest of the thumb/wrist = less pain :-) It's fairly discreet as hand supports go and not too bulky. Washing machinable Having quite small hands it's tricky to find a thumb support that fits properly and doesn't rub. This fits great. Negatives If I wear it too long I get stiff which causes a different type of pain. However as it does not effect the wrist it's not the end of the world. Another reviewer commented that it had no velcro which seemed like a massive advantage (that's what gave out on the psb support) as was hoping for a longer lasting support as my condition is only going to get worse. Having washed it a number of times the velcro is already less effective after a few months so it doesn't bode well. Would I buy one again, certainly. It isn't the cheapest option but without affecting wrist movement it is worth investing in. I sleep in it and wear it for long distance driving, jogging, house work etc so wear it quiet a lot I guess. However if I wear it a bit during the day as well as over night, I do wake up stiff and consequently achy. So I am thinking about getting a psb one again as they are less rigid (better for sleeping?) but that doesn't mean I will stop using this one either.

I have arthritis and this brace is great when my thumb is sore or if I have to do a lot of computer/mouse work. It keeps it in place and the joint immobilized to reduce swelling.

I have worn this brace for 3 weeks now and am very happy with it. It's made of durable materials, easy to put on and take off, and easy to clean. It allows good range of motion while protecting the affected area. There are 4 sizes, so you need to take your measurement to figure out the right one. There are several youtube videos that show how to do this. Also, make sure to pay attention to RIGHT or LEFT when ordering, easy to make a mistake.

This brace helps ease the pain from my worn out thumb joint. The only downside is the fact that the company doesn't sell replacement velcro straps. When the velcro fails to adhere you have to buy a complete new one which isn't exactly cheap.
