Review: Awesome knife but pay attention to the lock release button during use! - Love it. I actually use this knife everyday for cooking food in the kitchen or when camping out. I use my smaller EDC pocket knife for other small cooking tasks and this isn’t suitable for replacing a fillet knife, but it handles about 90% of the stuff I slice and chop up. I like to keep it as sharp as possible. I find it fairly easy to keep sharp but that depends on what I’m cooking, just like any knife it does require me to sharpen from time to time. I’m not sure what metal but it doesn’t wear away very quickly when sharpening on diamond flat stones, it seems pretty strong stuff compared to my pocket knife which is getting worn away on the stones much faster. The only issue I’ve had is occasionally almost pressing the lock release button when cutting something because of my grip and its position on the knife when choking up tight on the handle. It’s a big button sticking out so it’s easy to press, which is very convenient actually because it makes it super quick and easy to fold up and stow when you want to. Just have to be conscious of it when cutting and keep your grip far away from it, don’t want to close this thing on your fingers! I made myself a leather holster, keep it on my belt when I am cooking. My step son is insane unfortunately so I can’t have any knives in the drawer anymore and have to keep my knife on me! Crazy but that’s the reason for getting this knife to begin with. So I’m very glad there is someone who is making folding chef knives like this that you can keep on your body easily. For my purposes it works excellent.

It's not shaving sharp but I think a good stropping will take of that. Otherwise the shape is awesome. The handle is really great feeling! The scales are pretty solid feeling and have a great texture to them. It definitely won't slip under use. The action has some stick but that's common with button locks. It does lock up really solidly with no blade play. Mine came pretty tight, like it's not capable of opening with one hand. I don't think that's necessary with this knife. Overall, I feel like you get your money's worth with this knife. It would be nice if it came sharper though. But the fit and finish is excellent. I'd recommend this knife if you're looking for an unnecessarily large folding knife!

Love it. I actually use this knife everyday for cooking food in the kitchen or when camping out. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great outdoor kitchen knife and and very good edc knife

Its a great kitchen knife and outdoor kitchen knife that is very slicy, sharp knife once it has a 15 degree edge on it. I think mine came in at around 17.5 degrees. With vg 10 steel with new profile it cuts great. I don't have a problem carrying it as a edc knife cutting up boxes with this knife as it sharpens up so easy. wish it came with a belt holder which I did get one for it and it makes it a better all purpose edc with a big blade. with the big belly and a high handle cutting veggies fruit and using it as a steak knife is not a problem. I do use wooden plates for steak. all I have done to keep it sharp for the last 4 months is a quick touch up on a 3000 ceramic rod and if it needs a little more refining I'll use the 2500 grit ceramic spyderco stone and strop with 2 micron diamond paste. when Im outdoors I carry this knife with one of many edc knives I have just because I like this knife to carry on my belt. Its lightweight and comfortable in the hand. worth every dollar.
