I was buying the patriot foods, etc., which is beans, rice, flour and such. But these meals are easy and good. It's about 8 dollars a meal, about as much as eating out. You pour hot water, preferably boiling, and let sit for 10 minutes or so. Only need a spoon to eat out of the pouch. Edited to add: For all you preppers, get enough to share with your neighbors. There is no sense in storing up enough so you can be the last man on earth. Love one another just as Christ loves you. God bless.

I love these things. They are great for camping / backpacking. All you need is boiled water and a utensil. And they taste so damn good! I still can't believe how good these taste. These are my go to when camping, so light, so easy, so good!

Comes in a big box with individual sealed freeze dried bags. I checked each bag no spills or damage. Haven't tried them yet but packaging is good. Long shelf life 25+years.

Food ia good AFTER you season it. Please exercise common sense with freeze dried food. You would season food you cooknto taste, this also needs to be seasoned to your taste. I have tried mountain house food multiple times. It's good after a pinch of cayenne pepper and other seasons. It cooks very easily. Will definitely buy another box when the stock goes up.
