Brannan Garden Soil Thermometer Probe - Ideal Greenhouse Accessories to Measure propagator soil temperature for planting and sowing seeds and plants

The shorter stem means it fits in well in my propagator & doesn't get snagged every time I mist or move the pots etc. It's temperature readings compare to the ones from the propagator soil temperature probe, so I'm happy with that. It's maybe a little small print for easy reading, but large enough to see if the temp is within the desired range so no worries there. All in all, it seems like a good little unit that does the job. Recommended.

I have soil thermometers already but they are bigger ones mainly for the big containers and raised beds, but i wanted one just to check the temperature of some seeds and seedlings. This one does the job great and i wouldn't hesitate recommending this to anyone.

Very flimsy.

I have been gardening and sowing seed for nearly 30 years now. I was wary of buying on-line but I was not disappointed. This is a nice, sturdy little thermometer and, to my delight, has Made in England stamped on it! The 'red ink' line is very clear and defined, so the temperature is easy to read and the thermometer reacts quickly to temperature fluctuations. I have no hesitation in recommending this product to other fellow gardeners.

I read some reports of this propagation thermometer which could have put me off ordering .but I decided to give it a try . I'm pleased that I did .it isn't flimsy ,best of all it works! I have the large Stewart's propagators I leave the vents open and raise the lids a little to control the flow of air .I find this works ..without one of these thermometers it is just guess work unless you have a controlled thermastat on your propagator
