Rick Steves Snapshot Naples & the Amalfi Coast: with Pompeii

Very thorough, easy to follow and understand guide of Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. Highly recommend it to others. My wife and I made great use of it on a recent two week trip to the Amalfi Coast.

We love the Rick Steves' guides as a starting point for our travels. The suggested itineraries for different trip lengths are great, especially if you are looking to see and do as much as possible without going crazy. The site recommendations and tips were spot on. We do wish Ischia had been included, though.

Perfect Amalfi guide for a first time visitor! I loved the tips and the guide was easy to read and didn’t feel like too much info. We really appreciated having this to read before our trip to make the most out of our time there.

Likes: good overviews of region and transit options. Dislikes: very weak on hotels, especially Amalfi and Ravello (none provided).

His books always deliver

The scope and detail of this travel guide was breathtaking. For example, we took it to Pompeii and, using the guide alone, covered almost all of the grounds with lots of information on what we were seeing. It was fairly easy to follow and written very well. Well done!

His books are always super handy. I’ve used them on multiple trips to Italy, and they really lay it out for the unexperienced traveler. I’m on my way to becoming an expert traveler, thanks to his books and videos.

This guide covers the Naples/Amalfi Coast including Pompeii with great detail. I can't wait to see it in person
