I have tried various products to prevent our rug from moving around on the carpet so having read the positive reviews, I thought I'll give it a goI bought two packs and followed the instructions to apply it and make it more productive. However it is not robust enough at all and does not stop the rug from moving. I have two children who play and the rug moves with grips on as they run around.Not good value for money at all and disappointed

I purchased these in order to secure a rubber mat in front of my front door. The mat frequently moves around and has a very smooth underside (Great design by the mat company). The carpet is a month old and has quite a deep pile on it so I considered spikes as the best option (The carpet resists stains and can be cleaned with bleach so double sided tape will not stick to it). It attached a number of these spikes using the double sided pads provided, making sure to position them where I needed the mat to grip.Alas, the mat continues to slide around and the spikes, although they push into the carpet pile will not hold it in position. The pads that hold the strips are very good and strongly attached the spike strips but one thing to remember is that the thickness of the base of the strips can make the mat uneven unless it seats very deep in the carpet (in which case I would expect you would end up with a number of rectangles in the carpet).

The grippers are well made and the adhesive strips are very good. However they just don’t work. The mat we were trying to fix just kept moving as if the grippers were not there. Very disappointed as the product is well made.

Rubbish even getting the pieces of paper off the sticky bit was a trial. They did not stop rugs moving on carpet at all yet they are supposed too, according to write ups I even put on a couple extra each side as well as the ends still moved alot,total waste of time and money.

These just didn't work for me. Yes, if you press down on the upper carpet with your hand the gripper will securely 'grip' into the bottom carpet, but when you actually walk on the upper carpet the grippers will simply lift up and the carpet will move as if you hadn't attached any grippers. So, a nice idea but a waste of money and to discover this you have to 'damage' them they so they are no longer in their original state and can't be returned.

So, not its normal use... but works great for stopping streamdeck pedals from moving on carpet. stick the pads to the pedals, then the spikes stick into the carpet and stop the pedals from moving.

These just don't work for carpeted floors. The spikes don't dig into the carpet pile sufficiently to get a grip. With my carpet they just sit on top! Also, the sticky pads didn't stick to the back of the slipping mat. I solved this by gluing them. But as the spikes don't grip the carpet, the mat slips just as much with them as without. For this too work with a carpeted floor, the spikes would need to be much finer and sharper - more like needles. Big disappointment as the idea is good.
