This is a well made radio. Has AM and FM with internal SWR meter function for tuning the antenna and output RF power adjustment knob, scan function and more. Some of the reviewers on CBs complain that the new CB radio they received is only putting out say 2-1/2 watts, for example, and it should have 4 watts out, so they are sending it back. That is a mistake. Typically, it will not be the radio, it will be the failure of the buyer to tune the antenna to the radio using an SWR meter (standing wave ratio). All users are responsible to due this or have it done by a radio shop. That is in the manual. Some of the newer radios have this function built in but are not always accurate and would be better tuned with an external in-line SWR meter. If they initially have an SWR of from 2 to 3, for example, that could kill off 1 to 1-1/2 watts of output RF power on these new radios. They are more sensitive and easily affected than the much older ones. I have tested this recently with my purchase of a new President Walker III. It started out with only showing 2-1/2 watts and a high SWR reading, but after I tuned the antenna down to 1.2 to 1, which is almost perfect, my new radio had 4 watts of output power, as it should. Have a good day.

This is one of the best radios I have ever used. I’m not an expert but I got the SWR right on the money and it works great! Good looking radio too. It’s a PRES.
