Good connection for older consoles to hdmi tvs
Arrived on time in perfect new clean working condition. Great for newer tvs to connect to sega saturn and megadrive, good quality picture.

Cable isn't actually loose
Amazing picture quality, full rgb, with other modes with the push of a button, also initially I thought the adapter was very loose, with other people saying the same online, but with a little bit of force you can plug the adapter to the box a lot tighter Overall well worth getting

Kaico Does It Again
I already own, (for some time now), the Kaico PS2, SNES/Gamecube/N64 and now the Megadrive HDMI adapter, and I can safely say each gives a good quality translation of the picture in high definition. I’m using a 42 Inch Samsung LCD TV, and a HDMI 3-way splitter with switch and a Megadrive version 1 console. I played several games, including Strider, Ecco The Dolphin, Street Fighter 2, Kid Chameleon and Mortal Kombat 2. The image is clear and the palette vibrant. There are borders, but the image takes up most of the screen. I was dreading to possibly have to perform a firmware update, (as in my experience, that doesn’t always go smoothly), but it wasn’t necessary. On the green-light setting, lighting is bright, but doesn’t wash out the picture. Sound is punchy and authentic to the console. My only gripe is that the adapter needs a USB A connection to power the device. The Kaico PS2 adapter also needs a USB connection, and this plugs into a port on the console. With this Megadrive adapter, I’m using a port on the TV. I paid around the 30 pound mark, and for the price, it’s a good result. I can’t comment on the display features of the Sega Saturn or Neo Geo, but this product works well with the Megadrive. Four stars !

Works well after a lot of messing about.
First impressions was not good had a blue line down the left hand side of the screen worried about screen burn. Finally managed to update the firmware and managed to adjusted the screen position blue line gone. Value for money as the kaico website sell it for double the price. Not as easy as plug and play.

Not bad but not great
Not bad but not great, the picture is ok when it works properly, plus its nice that you can configure the colour settings in the firmware update app, even though its seems to be a trial and error thing as its not able to do it while connected to see the changes in real time, plus its something I only discovered when trying to fix its biggest issue. Its also nice that you get to be able to use it with multiple consoles as opposed to the usual 1 that most adapters are restricted to, so if you have a MD, SS and NeoGeo, you could get away with one cable if need be. However its is prone to interference over USB if you use a separate power source to the display as I have found when using it on a Saturn and Megadrive on multiple displays. If its using a USB port on the display, its largely ok. However if you need to use an external power source, then its a complete mess in RGB, Composite seems unaffected, though if you have one of these, you would want it for RGB. I have tried a couple of different USB leads but they all seem to do it, so my guess its an issue with the adapter itself that a firmware update won't fix, though it will introduce you to the pciture controls if you can use on display USB to get a clean picture. Less of an issue but also worth mentioning as it would worry me when it comes to potential burn in with prolonged use, is the bright blue line permanently on the left hand side off the screen. If it is a Saturn thing, I can't say I have seen it before with other leads, but if its an adapter thing, its a big oversite and should have at least been made to be black or a much duller colour as having that on the screen al the time is not exactly great for the display plus it doesn't look that nice either. If you can get it cheap, the multiple consoles option is a plus for you and you have a free USB port on the display, then its not a bad choice, if even 1 of those is not the case, try something else.

Doesn't work, and no product testing seems to be a way to earn money from those that don't return.
Did not work, tried it with 2 Megadrives and 5 TV's varying in Age.. the most I saw was a blue or bright line down the left of the screen. So many hours lost.

Great product
Works perfectly for my Sega Saturn and Mega Drive. Helped me with my nostalgia urges by letting me play some of my old games on a modern TV. Easy to set up and feels very solidly made. Zero complaints 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Absolutely over the moon with this product. I was previously using the Hyperkin HDMI cable, which was acceptable. I didn't want to spend the kind of money a Retrotink 5X costs, and the RADX2 is on backorder. Then I found this, with the exact same features (plus more with the ability to tweak the settings) and decided to give it a shot. Very glad I did, HUGE improvement over the Hyperkin! And the smoothing mode is fantastic, really makes the Saturn shine on HDTV's. And it works like a dream when combined with the mClassic! It may be a little pricey (twice the cost of the Hyperkin), but easily worth every penny if you want to run your Sega Saturn on a HDTV. I would imagine it's just as good with all the other consoles it works with.
