Great but expensive

Great but very expensive.

I can always rely on HP original - and I have tried alternatives, but they do not print the same.

WOW loads of money! no wonder the printers are so cheap. though I must say the original sample cartridges have lasted a hell of a long time so i'm hoping this will last even much more. A full set in one go is a bit of a costly hit!

When Hp sell you a new printer (Officejet Pro 8210) they supply it with a Hp 953 black and Hp 953 colour starter cartridges cyan, magenta & yellow. Well these cartridges only do 1,00 pages bk and 700 pages each colour which is written in really really small writing on the back of the cartridge box. For the proper correct higher yield cartridges what you really should be using is the Hp 953XL black which does 2,000 pages and for the colours you should be using the Hp 953XL cartridges which does 1,600 pages. Hp make their money out of selling you a very good printer (Officejet pro 8210) but then try and sell you cartridges that have hardly any ink in them (953 starter cartridges). Don't fall into the Hp ink con trap always buy the full size 953XL versions which only cost a little bit more but have DOUBLE the amount of ink in them... Also Hp do a L0R40AE HP957XL Extra high yield black which does 3,000 pages but be careful as only a few printers accept the extra high yield black. Check before buying the 957XL that your printer can use it :) UPDATED 29/08/17 What I do now is get a HP British premium compatible 953XL quad pack maximum yield 2k black and 1.6k c/m/y for only £58.32 plus vat with free next day delivery from a company called advantage-online, That's the best deal that I have found on the internet at this moment in time and they work very well in my Hp Officejet Pro 8210 printer. I did try a few other companies selling 953XL compatibles but I found them to be rubbish. Hope this information helps!

Good ink but many others can make for a fraction of price. Won't but HP printer again. This supplier met all needs.

Since HP updated their firmware to prevent the use of non-HP cartridges, I cannot use the brand of compatibles with which I have been quite happy for a few years. HP cartridges are vastly more expensive and seem to offer few, if any, advantages to anyone except HP themselves.
