Yes, I bought it to melt snow and ice, and it works, honest. Who knew? OK joking aside, it's very handy to have some stored away to keep your outside steps and paths clear of ice and snow. Recommend everyone get some before the worst of winter comes. And if you don't use it all seal the bag carefully, no holes, and no moisture can get inside, and you will have salt for next Christmas. Oh, MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL.

Works well and good to have in stock for when needed. Not cheap.

This stuff came in very handy when we had unexpected snow. Managed to get car out of the garage and treated the street up to the main road. Without the salt I would have been stuck on the estate roads.
