An essential ocarina
This was my first ocarina. I've since gotten a variety of ocarinas including other plastics and ceramics. The Night By Noble is still my go to ocarina. It's well known in the ocarinist community for being arguably the best for beginners as well as being a perfect travel companion for any ocarinist. It sounds amazing for a plastic, better even than some ceramics. It's durable enough that I take it everywhere I go. It feels good in the hand and is as easy to play as a transverse ocarina can be. In summary, the price may seem a little high compared to other plastic ocarinas but it is definitely worth the price for either a beginner or any ocarinist wanting an ocarina on the go.

Very good beginner ocarina
I'm new to learning the ocarina and finding a half decent one that ships to the UK without very expensive postage is difficult. I heard about the Night by Noble ocarina alto C and I have to say it is a very good for the money. The quality is extremely good as the plastic is it made from is very solid and has a smooth matt finish. The sound quality is also very good, hitting the high notes does require practice and stronger breath than the lower notes. Overall I was very impressed with this ocarina and would highly recommend as it is good for a beginner player. I would stress that if you are new to playing the ocarina then it is worth spending the money on a quality ocarina like the Night by Noble as cheaper plastic or ceramic ocarinas could put you off playing as they may not be tuned very well and the sound quality is pretty poor. Also I received this very quickly! I was told it would take up to 6 weeks to arrive but received it about 10 days from ordering.

A practically perfect beginner's ocarina.
I would recommend this for anyone looking into ACTUALLY playing the ocarina. The quality of the build is perfect and feels great to play. Considering it's as durable as it is with such solid, firm plastic, it's great value for money. Especially as it's a better alternative to ordering an ocarina all the way from the US or further with high shipping costs. The sound quality is impeccable on the lower notes, but one should note that getting the higher notes to hit the right pitch can be difficult and the sound can be quite shrill - perhaps I can learn a technique to avoid that from happening.

Good for a beginner and a pro
Given as a present. Apparently this is very good, and works well. Durable design and in tune. Recommended.

Scritchy Scratches!
The ocarina I received wasn't as high quality as those photographed in other reviews. I mean, it sounds alright and feels okay in the hand but covered in scratches and warps. Generally looks like it's poorly moulded actually - formed imperfections rather than damage. Quite a shame for the price, I expected higher quality but meh.

Very good
I bought this one and the cheaper brown coloured ceramic one. Both are very good, I prefer the ceramic one, but this is a good instrument.

It's just beautiful
It feels like ceramic, it looks elegant, and it sounds so different to the cheap plastic one I bought to practice on. I suffer from depression and am teaching myself to play, music is great for anyone who has mental health problems. I know I'm going to really enjoy learning to play this. I have lung problems, and playing a wind instrument is great for that as well. The sound of it is different from a recorder, the recorder sounds pipey but this sounds more like a human voice. It's just so beautiful, if feels nice in my hands, and I really like it. I just wanted to add a bit more to this review. I found the tabs for the ocarina to Scarborough Fair, and am almost able to play it all the way through with no mistakes. The fingering of an ocarina isn't as straightforward as you would think, but writing out the tabs to songs helps to make you remember the fingering. My daughter plays the flute and the flute and ocarina sound so beautiful together. I really love this instrument, it took me a year to decide to buy this, as it seems quite expensive, but my daughter pointed out that as it's plastic it's not likely to get broken. Really pleased with it.

Survived a fall down MANY flights of stone stairs - very impressed
FANTASTIC instrument. Effortless to play, sounds lovely, perhaps a little squeaky at the very top of the range or breathy at the lowest part but that's totally to be expected from an ocarina. It's my second ocarina and the sound is much purer and clearer than my first ceramic one. I'm writing this review because I am STUNNED. My ocarina just slipped out of my pocket as I was going down the stairs. It fell down the equivalent of about 5 storeys of STONE stairs. When I got to the bottom, it was in two clean halves that slotted easily back together and aren't coming apart again. Pictured is the extent of the damage. Some cosmetic damage but IT STILL SOUNDS GREAT. I would never expect an instrument to survive a fall like that - if I dropped my guitar or my ceramic ocarina like that, it'd be splinters and dust. I don't know if I just got really lucky or if this is literally the most durable musical instrument ever built, but I'm definitely giving it my recommendation. I thought about adding some glue to make sure the halves stay together but I can't actually get them apart again. Really good for small hands too.
