I like these tongs, good for picking up hot food and good strong metal which wont bend while their in use.My mum bought a pair of these many years ago when I was a child and she had them for a very long timeand had to buy a new set only because they disappeared.

My mother gave me my first set of Westmark double tongs, probably about 30 years ago. They were always great, either for in the kitchen or for the BBQ. Unfortunately, someone recently put the well-loved old set into the dishwasher (I always knew they weren't dishwasher-proof). Consequently, after all these years they are now blackened and the black rubs off onto things.I was delighted to find that I could buy a brand new set, exactly like the old ones (good old Westmark!). The new set is lovely and shiny new, and will definitely NOT be going in the dishwasher! Actually, they wash so easily in the sink anyway (the food residue seems to almost float off), so there's no need to put them in the dishwasher.Perhaps the manufacturer should state very clearly that these are NOT SUITABLE FOR THE DISHWASHER! Otherwise they're GREAT!

I had some of these 40 years ago. They are just so good to use. Sadly after a while they lose their spring but can still be used as two separate spatulas! Because they are made of aluminium they do discolour if washed in a dishwasher (chemical reaction) but that isn't really an issue,

Used once, washed once and biined them. All the coating came off and, as other people mention they now have a black residue which I noticed on my hands, I hate to think what this black residue is! Binned them straight away. Only have them 1 star as I can't find how to not give any.

Very happy with the product, this will replace similar plastic ones that are no longer available

I was really looking forward to using these tongs. For the first wash I put them in the top tray of the dishwasher. They are now a sad grey colour with sticky handles. However, as I will usually these tongs by hand I have returned the ‘grey’ pair and ordered another as I think I will get a lot of use out of these. They are really sturdy and nice to handle.

Rubbish. Put them in the dishwasher after the first use and they’ve come out black leaving black marks all over the place! Had to put them straight in the bin.What an utter waste of money.Please be aware before you purchase these that they are NOT dishwasher safe. I only had them on a short 30 minute cool wash and they’ve had to go straight in the bin.
