Robelli Gangster Fancy Dress Set - Trilby Hat, Tie, Braces, Cigar, Moustaches & Carnation (White)

Bought this for a 1920's themed event. I'll break this down bit by bit as there really is a lot for your money here!Trilby - while not a great hat, it's decent enough for a themed party. Sturdy but not overly flexible, if you're wanting something to use afterwards, this isn't what you're looking for. If you just want something to dress up in on party occasions or to give to the kids afterwards, it's great.Bracers - These things are HUGE! To give some idea of who they'll fit, my future son-in-law ended up wearing them. He's 6ft 2 and looks like he's just walked off the set of Vikings, he's a big lad! They fitted him nicely with a little bit of give to them as well. The clasps were well designed and they did the job of staying on all evening, I think he's still got them too.Flower - Almost everything in this package is decent, the flower not so much. It's nice enough to look at but it does look cheap. If you're wanting to go proper gangsta looking, you'd be better heading to your local florist and buying a real carnation!Cigar - Oh my days, this thing is HUGE! It's very much a comedy piece simple on size alone but it does look like an over-sized cuban cigar.Moustaches - We didn't use these but my 6 and 4 year olds did. I have to say, they stick really well and will come off cleanly when removed. However, be careful with skin sensitivities as the glue may cause issues if you have latex allergies.Inflatable Gun - Well, what can I say?! This was the cause of much hilarity. We decided not to blow it up before going as we were taking public transport (not a good look to be carrying on a bus!) but it was blown up when we got there. Due to not having a valve on the air-hole, when you blow it up, you begin to lose air from it as soon as you go to plug the air-hole shut. this gives you a rather saggy end to the gun which, as you can imagine, leads to much hilarity and comments about drooping. I don't recall where the gun ended up but I do know it was being used as a semi-flaccid beating stick amongst the rest of our group!Overall, if you're not too bothered by authenticity and sturdiness, this is a good set to get. It will last out your party/event and possibly for a while afterwards. It's lots of fun and the many various pieces mean you can share it with friends. If you're looking for more authentic gangsta gear, spend a bit more money and buy the bits separately. For the price you pay, you really do get a lot of fun from this and if that's what you're after, this may well be just what you're looking for!

The inflatable gun provided with this item had holes in the seams so not fit for purpose. After first inflation it went down, after inspection could hear air escaping. Found what I thought was the only hole and repaired it but after inflating again soon deflated as flat as a pancake. Unfit for purpose and too late to return product as intended to use this evening.Other aspects of the kit were adequate for the price paid.Disappointed!!

It was a quick purchase for a fancy dress party.Why is the gun a really modern gun & not a tommy gun?

Items came quickly and what was delivered was very good, but there was no braces or moustaches in the parcel when opened. Disappointing.

My son is over the moon! The parcel came well packaged with each item individually wrapped. Each item is reasonably sturdy for the price. Good value for money and solved my son’s Halloween party fancy dress dilemma! Thank you!

Everything was decent quality for the price. Only thing is the moustaches are different than to what was advertised, however i still manage to look like a cool, handsome 1920s gangster. The moustaches came thicker and in different shapes. But id recommended if you arent bothered and only want a strong fake moustache. Everything else was just fine too :).

In the contents there was no flower which was a little let down as that was the piece that added a splash of colour. I ended up having to buy my own flower separately on the day. The inflatable gun was a bit lame as well. However, the rest of the pieces were good, a decent hat, tie and braces... the sticky moustache wasn't very good and didn't stick well.Overall, a decent set for an Italian costume.
