I've used this for everything except plumbing related jobs. Excellent for plugging gaps and keeping bees out of the loft as well as making a flexible rain proof filler between lintel and window where mastic had failed. No end to it's uses!

I love this stuff. It is brilliant. It dries quick. It’s smooth. I’m not a big DIY but the holes in the house have been filled in and you cannot tell that they were even there. This is great if you’re not that great at DIY.

Works exactly as described, used to fix a leaky toilet.

I ordered this putty because I had a leak from my kitchen sink. It’s very easy to apply and it’s still going strong a week later. It’s a fantastic product and I highly recommend it! I would advise to wear disposable gloves as it’s hard to wash off of your fingers and it’s not a good idea to wash it down a sink as it will clog it up. I also used it around the bottom of the toilet to stop a water leak.

It's generally a good product, doesnt set, so easy to remove. unfortunately the item I received wasn't sealed and clearly someone had stuck their fingers in it!

I recently had to remove a toilet to put some new flooring in, when I came to refitting the pan there was a gap between it and the waste pipe which as well as leaving me with a small river of toilet water was also emitting a smell like a squirrel had parked itself in the toilet to die. I knew I needed some Plumbers Mait to sort but alas the local DIY Chain did not have it in stick and I didn't fancy a 12 mile trip to the next store so picked some of this up on Amazon. The Good - It's super easy to stick into any gaps, splodge a couple of finger fulls onto the offending part and rub it all over. It doesn't leave a massive amount of residue on your hands and what is left is easy to clean off. Once in place it's just a super little fix. It feels like a cheat it's so good. I popped some onto the pan and pipe, joined them up and that was that. Job done. River halted, smell dissapated. Happy toilet times. The could be better - The lid for the tub could have a slightly better seal, when I came to use it again for another job the tub had gone off a little making it less easy to apply. It could well have been me not really putting the lid back on too so it's not a major issue and it's still effective. Overall this is a Plumbing essential and for its many different applications it's really worth having a tub on hand rather than waiting for a leak or issue. Buy a pot, it really is your mate! Recommended. Four Stars.

Great product, Must-have in the house!

This review is for Plumber's Mait® 1.5kg 456105 As everyone knows by now, those seals under vintage antique porcelain pedestal sinks, enameled tubs and shower trays with new rubber seals to the drains are going to leak without plumbers putty that never hardens or cracks or dries out. Drips or tiny leaks rust your basins and trays right through and we all know what it costs to replace them, if they can be replaced, and most are likely out of manufacture. Besides the labor and expense, small leaks cause permanent damage over time to floors and walls. Consider plumbers putty preventative maintenance. Not everything precious or irreplaceable from yesteryear was manufactured with CNC to high tolerances to prevent drips. Yes, I have to use it often when new rubber seals should have been sufficient. Highly recommended.

This makes the sealing job 100x easier and faster. No drying time like silicons. No mess like silicons. No Clean Up like silicons. Mate, should have got this donkey yrs ago!

It’s OK

Used the Plumbers Mait to fix a problem of water leaking from kitchen sink. Saved money by not needed a Plummer to make needed repairs.
