Wondering how easy they are to cut with an exacto knife? I want to cut them into smaller pieces

I don't think an exacto knife would give you the results you might expect these little gourds are not thin a dremel would work better

I am wondering if these could be made into maracas... Are they hollow? Do they have seeds inside? Can they be cut to add rice?

They are super TINY. I don't think they'd make good maracas.

Yes there should be seeds in them but whether or not they will germinate is questionable. I tried soaking some this year and then planting in potting soil and only one seed germinated. There are tons of seeds in each unopened gourd.
