I love this as it doesn't get too hot. I don't care for the lavender scent (and I usually like lavender), because it is sooo strong in the melter. However, once it is on your hands, the scent dissipates and is not strong at all. As others have said, the wax is VERY oily, but that also helps to remove the wax and it helps with dry skin. When I'm finished, I have to use a paper towel to get the oil off. It does take at least 1 1/2 hours to melt the wax then 30 minutes on your hands, so it's not a quick process. But I have debilitating arthritis in my hands and the wax melter does help. Be sure to read the directions because there are different settings depending on how many wax blocks you are trying to melt.

The item arrived on time. Is attractive in my salon space. It is large enough to accommodate large hands, and can do a average size foot. It does take longer than 20 minutes to heat the wax, but I had several wax bars in at once. Once melted, it reheats very quickly. You will need extra wax, as it only comes with 3 wax packs. It is simple to use and seems to be fairly sturdy. Only had for a few days but is great so far.

I bought this updated version of a wax machine I've had for a couple of years and I like it way better. It is just the right size and easy to use, clean and maintain. I even bought one for my daughter and she loves it.

The settings are unclear for heating modes. The lid is hard to grasp and therefore falls into the melted wax when lifting lid. Machine constantly shuts off and wax is hardened when we need it to be kept warm. Machine stopped working in 1.5 years. Do not recommend.

Update: Had over half year now and it's helped my hands tremendously!! (musician, hands getting stiff and tired). I bought this because of the digital temp control, instead of others with just low/high setting and imo that feature is a must. Comes with everything you need except you'll more than likely need more wax. I have 3 lbs in it. My occupational therapist friend said you could reuse the wax for like a year if it's just personal use and you wash your hands before using it. Hopefully it lasts a long time.

I've never had a wax machine before, but when I developed arthritis in my hands and couldn't sew or crochet any more I needed help. My primary doctor suggested a wax machine. I've used this one several weeks now and I love it. It's easy to use, and it's pretty. There is a thermostat that lets me set a high temperature (212 degrees Fahrenheit) for melting the wax. The lid is transparent so I can view when the wax is melted. Then I lower the temperature to 127 degrees Fahrenheit, and it beeps when it's cool enough for me to use. I highly recommend this little machine!
