There are a lot of options for a cheap CarPlay stereo I couldn’t make up my mind, I took a brave step and opted for this one without any reviews. The unit is just the right size not too big and distracting when driving, I use CarPlay which works really well with no lag that I have found with other systems. The touch screen is very responsive and easy to use, at this point I have only hooked up the stereo and additional Mic. I may eventually add the camera and steering controls, I have no need for the remote controls personally and in a 2 seater it’s not really needed. Sound is pretty good, no difference from my stock head unit in quality. Overall pretty happy with this product, easy to install once I sourced the correct harness for my car. Useful tip Connects2 have a range of wiring adapters to ISO as well as Blanking plates for replacing stock head units so would recommend looking at stockist of those. My car is a 2006 BMW Z4 without amp and this unit works pretty well with the stock speakers.

Helpful with problems when they occur

Got this item so I could have carplay in my classic mini. On first inspection it was great value for money. Fitting was easy but it cannot be fastened in with its supplied cage as there is no way to release it from the cage. It worked straight away. However when connected to carplay the music cut in and out after a few minutes. This was a shame as its a nice unit. I returned it for a refund and bought a similar unit from elsewhere

It won't mirror link to my phone, can't change date and time and has a loose plug where the multi block plugs in so radio keeps going off.

Tech support have resolved the issue with a replacement unit. Great communication from them with the tech support. Now have been promised a replacement unit. I await delivery. Bought it for a campervan conversion. Fitted to test and the screen didn’t open when powered up.

In CarPlay mode screen goes blank. It loses settings at times. I returned mine.

Pour ne pas vous prendre la tête avec les branchements un adaptateur 20 broches vers ISO vous facilitera la vie :) Mise en place simple et fonctionne parfaitement :) Maj : Test de la caméra de recul, ok, compter 30mn/1heure d'installation sur un Dacia Sandero de 2008. Branchez la caméra sur la pin 2 du feux arrière gauche, la masse sur la 4.
