I have recently stated making bread and have been looking for a surface to knead and form my dough on. I have laminate counters that are not the nicest and I have tried using different cutting boards but they slip and slide on my counters and the dough sticks. I know this is for pastry dough but it works for my bread dough as well. Just a light sprinkle of flour and the board does not move! Perfect. I may start making pastries know too. I can also use this for rolling out my pasta dish. The board is not huge but neither is the space on my counter so it works. The board is very heavy, nice material exactly as advertised. It came package perfectly with no problems.

I honestly did not know what I was missing without this marble pastry board! It's perfect for bread and pie making with a glossy non-stick surface that allows me to knead and shape the artisan ( and other breads ) that my family loves. I'm amazed at the beauty of the marble and rather than store it, it will be displayed on my counter. I've already used it as a cheese and cracker tray and am certain that I'll find many other ideas as well. It's also extremely lightweight ( for marble ) and is the perfect size for my needs. The marble was secured between two very thick pieces of styrofoam in a box and then packaged in a outer box and arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Enclosed was was business/ thank you card with instructions to register the warranty and an offer for e-books and future discounts at Amazon. I purchased the marble pastry board for an additional work space when making holiday cookies. Very elegant, sturdy, and heavy which is reflective of a good product. Had a slight issue and contacted the seller Grade-A-Global. Great customer service at this company and the staff I spoke to (Len) is AMAZING and handled the issue immediately. Could not ask for more. Very pleased overall!

Solid and built to spec, its a fine marble slab for the kitchen. Plenty heavy and thick, might be a concern for older bakers and people who want this in the kitchen for various tasks who are of physically weaker state, lifting it off the counter to place somewhere else might be a task too great for some with problems. Although it was of great fit, the finish was not perfect, I saw some grinder effects on part of the board in the correct light, at the right angle with the right light you can see the marks on an otherwise nice finish. Despite the aesthetic effect of this, the entire board has a smooth finish for correct function, even the part that shows the grind marks. Also, the board came with a lot of swirls of what It thought might be further grind marks, they turned out to be glue of some sort, washed it with alcohol as it is quite stubborn to remove. Advise other shoppers to clean this thoroughly before use.

Had to get a replacement. The first one came demolished. How it is heavy and clean. Handle with care

I'm currently using it as a solid surface for tooling leather and hammering rivets/snaps/grommets and generally anything that needs a good beating. Works great for that, and it looks great too so that's pretty cool I guess. I'm not much for the pastry stuffs, but I bet this little guy could do the job just fine. Edit 06/30/2022: R.I.P. It broke in 3 pieces while setting a grommet. But it lasted a while, and I put it through punishment it wasn’t intended for, so I can’t really complain.

Came in whole… but the slab was cracked and they finished and polished it. It was a gift, but my sister didn’t mind the crack on it. So I don’t wanna bother with a return.. it’s is not damaged but it is polished cracked marble.

This product is what I really needed. I used an old piece of smoothed plywood which my mother used for decades. Dough of any kind always stuck. With this product, dough rolls out smoothly and comes up easily. Also, it weighs about 11 pounds; so, it doesn't move. I have used it several times already and love it. It is a bit pricey, but I think it is well worth it.
