Hay Rack with Wooden Seat, 25 x 17 x 20 cm

Really good hay rack that we use for our rabbits, a good size where they can actually reach the hay in-between the bars. Good quality and came as expected. Also like that it has a lid so that our rabbits can't sit in the hay and wee in it.

These racks are great if, like me, you have a cheeky monkey who likes to sit in his hay rack to eat and poop! I needed something to stop him doing that and risking him breaking his leg trying to get out. Very well made and sturdy. I bought two as I have 3 mini lop house bunnies. They are fixed above their huge litter tray. They are taking some getting used to as mine eat a huge amount of Timothy a Hay which is very long and thick so a little more difficult to get into the boxes. I note from another reviewer that she said her hay fell out very easilly. It shouldn't if you are using good quality long stemmed hay. Keeps if clean and nicer for them to eat. Fantastic price too. I am thinking of replacing by regular hay racks for these in my rabbit boarding business too. I would like to add a good point here - a lot of people on here complain that their hay falls out. This will only happen with cheap short cut hay and not with a better quality long hay. As long as you give your bunny good quality hay which you should be anyway, this rack is great.

It feels and looks a little bit cheap, but so far it's stayed in one piece. I got this hay rack as opposed to a metal one without a lid because I was worried about my chinchilla getting stuck- turns out she can squeeze through the gaps and frequently naps on top of her hay. For me, the main 'con' with this product is a lot of the hay falls out of the rack, because the hay is short and the gaps are quite big. Still, a good product and looks nice in her home.

Need 2, bought 2. Our 2 rabbits are English Lops and are quite big, so these racks are one each. Hopefully the lids will prevent them from urinating on their hay which is something rabbits may do if they are fed in a tray. Ideally the racks would have been a couple of inches longer but these seem to be the only ones suitable on the market. Nevertheless I think these are OK for their needs.

I wouldn't say out of the box this product is usable. The screws are supposed to screw in at the back but then this tilts the rack forward and is hella awkward for a bunny to eat from - craning his neck like that! I got rid of the top flap - to stop him potentially jumping on it. I screwed the screws in at the top of the bar, so it would hang with it's back straight to the cage. It's not the most sturdiest thing in the world (due to having only 2 hooks.. 4 would be better, even more so if the hooks closed somehow), bun does knock it off occasionally. The gaps at the front are large enough for my bunny to get his nose into (which is better than those standard hay attachments that comes with a cage - designed for guinea pigs!), it's quite funny because my bun just gets his paws and digs all the hay out and causes a mess - just because he can do that now, haha. I mainly bought this because with the other plastic standard hay feeder - my bun wouldn't eat hay at all.. he's too big for it. I didn't like the wire ones because hay goes everywhere. At least with this one it's not messy because unlike the wire ones, it still has a wooden back and sides. There needs to be a company that make good hay feeders, it's 2018.. but for now this will do.

My partner made a similar one without a lid, unfortunately it became a litter tray! This one with a lid is great! We add the pellets to the hay combined in this feeder. Only downside is there is a minimum order of 2!

I have to fill this twice a day for my large lop , and she has sat on it and broken the back bit off but it was very easy to reinforce it so she can’t break it now !

I bought this hay rack after being being frustrated finding hay trampled underfoot. It's well made & the perfect size for 1 or 2 rabbits. I've tried filling it with other green foods but the bars are quite widely spaced so best for hay. The only issue is the way it fixes to the cage. At the rear, there are 2 rectangular wooden strips, one designed for you to screw on the hooks & the other to balance against the cage bars. The problem is, when the hooks are inserted. They protrude almost double the distance to the lower wooden strip, so the hay box tilts forwards, and does not sit flat - the sales picture indicates it will sit flat but this is misleading. My rabbits love to sit on top of things & have tried to climb on top of the hay rack, but slide off. We've added an additional wooden strip to balance it up, but I think it could be designed a bit better for fixing.

Paśnik w miarę dobrze wykonany z otwieraną pokrywą w zestawie dwa haczyki do zamontowania, jedyny mankament to to że po jednej stronie jest pęknięcie i minimalnie odchodzi zobaczymy po czasie i użytkowaniu czy się pogorszy czy dalej będzie tak jak jest.

Agréablement surprise la 1ere fois que j'avais commandé ce produit. Il a fallut que j'en recommande 2 autres, non par défaut mais parce que mes lapins l'adorent. Pratique, gain de place, de bonne qualité, le prix. Tout est réuni ce qui en fait un bon produit. Je recommande.

Ineccepibile, leggero, legno di buona qualità, si tiene su con due viti ad occhiello da agganciare alla rete del recinto. Contiene una grande quantità di fieno. Io ne ho due, uno per coniglio, e ci vado avanti anche 4 giorni. Ottimo prodotto, ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo
