Clairol Natural Instincts Bold Permanent Hair Dye, R56 Achiote Auburn Hair Color, Pack of 1

THIS HAIR COLOR IS EVERYTHING! I've been looking for my "Reba" red for awhile now. My old hair dye is no longer available. It is a bit bright at first but fades a little after a few washes. I dyed my hair over a month ago and it's still amazingly red! I am shocked that a low price dye is this amazing!

I really like this hair dye! The color is vibrant and rich, with a strong red undertone that looks amazing in the sunlight. It lasts well - for several weeks - although, of course, all bright shades eventually fade. The texture is quite liquid, so it can drip a little during application. The conditioner included in the box is actually a large tube, smells great, and leaves hair very soft and shiny. Overall, Clairol Natural Instincts Bold C64 Copper Sunset gives a beautiful fiery color without ammonia and keeps hair healthy-looking. Highly recommend!

This is an amazing color. I'm hoping it holds in my high porosity hair. I'm mostly impressed bc after coloring my hair looks so shiny, I don't think I've ever had shiny hair. The color itself lacks some of the purple I was hoping for but at the same time I'm glad it looks natural instead of looking "fashion color". My hair looks denser and younger with this color immediately after coloring. I should note that I do not use the developer this comes with. I use around 2.5oz 10 volume and let this process as needed. I'm not looking for any lift so I use the 10 to just deposit color.

I've used this color in the past, and it seemed more vibrant then, though, maybe I left the color on longer then. I do love the way my hair feels, and they color is so shiny and beautiful outside in the sun. I wish the gray coverage was better. If you have any hint of gray, the gray will appear a bit metallic, but then again, anyone with grays knows those hairs will not absorb as well as healthy, younger hair. I have never been unhappy with Natural Instinct hair colors.

Color: Copper I put this color over dark blonde hair. The color came out just as advertised on the box. It’s very bright & vibrant. Unfortunately, the color mostly came out after a couple of washes. I have a photo I posted of my hair after the two washes. I didn’t have time to take a photo of my hair right after it was done. Overall, the color is beautiful and the dye doesn’t seem to do much damage to the hair. However, the color doesn’t last long. I’ve used Demi dye hair dyes that were less temporary. But, if you want to have this color for about a week(or less) then I would order it!

i've been dying my hair red for the last five years or so. I've done different shades of red but decided to try a more purply color. I liked this shade and decided to go with it. The whole dying process was alright. It was easy to mix since it was in a bottle and it came with gloves. when I was ready to rinse and wash my hair and pretty much stained everything in existence. I dye my hair frequently, not super often, but I have never had an issue with staining. as well as the disappointment that my hair was just a darker shade of red than it was before. The color was not super bright, and it looked pretty much exactly like what I have before, except my roots were touched up. It was not purple or purple toned at all. I was very disappointed because i did want to switch up my hair color. i'll probably keep buying the specific brand because I do like the ease of a box dye, but I will not be buying this specific color again in this brand.

I purchased this to cover over bleached ends that had been dyed blue as well as color my roots that are grey in the front and dark in the back that I was just sick of. I was hoping for something that was not as unnatural as having bright color, but still not boring. I did have to fill the ends with red first since they had been bleached. The color came out great just as the box showed as a black with a purple and blue reflect. To be fair, it did leave a couple resistant hairs at my temples uncolored but those do not color for me regardless of brand, additives, timing or where I have the color done so that didn't affect my rating. It also didn't cause any additional damage and in fact, my hair looked healthier after it was colored. It had no harsh odor either. I would definitely use this brand again and wish I had tried it sooner.

Good bright color

Je me teint les cheveux depuis des années et j'ai toujours adoré le rouge. Malheureusement, à chaque fois, la coloration tient à peine une semaine puis mes cheveux prennent une teinte auburn terne et défraîchi très laide qui ne se corrige qu'avec du brun très foncé ou du noir... J'ai essayé cette coloration ci car j'ai lu et entendu des commentaires disant qu'elle était très durable et qu'elle ne décolorait pas en un auburn laid. C'est vrai!!!! Sérieusement, je n'en revient pas!! Ça n'a pas taché mes serviettes comme les autres l'ont fait. Ça a donné une couleur absolument magnifique et d'une durabilité extraordinaire!! Ça fait environs deux semaines que j'ai appliqué cette teinture sur mes cheveux. Elle n'a que très, très légèrement décoloré et demeure d'un rouge profond absolument somptueux! Je recommande très fortement! :)

quick and easy - beautiful results ! the colour does run a bit for the first while in the first few showers after but not much - I would just recommend not using white towels or anything

Made my hair too bright and kind of unnatural . I am a redhead, but going grey and I just didn't like it at all. Not great cause I bought about 6 boxes and now have to find a way to get rid of them.....

I did highlight with it. Application was easy but color is NOT purple on dark hair . It really looks red . My daughter is still happy with the highlights but very disappointed with the shade.
