Quality professional grade tool to add to your tool box. Anyone who works on cars probably has one or is familiar with what this does. The OEMTOOLS straight edge works as designed. No frills just a quality machined edge. I was original concerned about how it would Be shipped being that it’s a precision tool that can’t become damaged. Not to worry, the company sends these I am hard cardboard tube, secured well, which I really appreciated. Definitely worth the money considering what Snapon sells for.

It’s simple, but effective. Does what it should. I used it to check my heads and block during a head gasket replacement job to make sure all were flat. I appreciate that it’s made in the USA. Great for the home or professional mechanic.

Works as intended and made checking tolerance a breeze. Nice weight to it and provided pretty accurate reading. Easy to use and overall great value for the money.

Solid, did the comparisons off the bat and it's straight. It's steel, so it's heavy, don't want to drop this one on your foot. Love that it comes with a guard to protect the edge when not in use. Worth every penny. Would buy this same one again and again. I'm a mechanic/machinist, I'm using this often. It came in a cylindrical tube during shipping so it was protected and not damaged even though the box arrived looking like it had been through a war zone.

Precision made tool with great accuracy which is invaluable for checking cylinder heads and engine blocks, for that matter for checking straightness of many things

I was a bit worried it would come with a less than desirable finish as other reviewers had mentioned, but for the price compared to some of the others i thought it was worth a shot. The Straight edge i received was well packaged, solid and perfectly straight, no burrs or tool marks whatsoever. Well worth the price of admission. Hope this helps someone else.
