Review: a must have for every caring and educated parent - Though my health visitor recommended me Annabel Kermel's books, the first bad sign for me was when watching one of her movies she uses normal dry apricots, it clicked immediately-preservatives(sulphites), she didn't know what she's talking about.Processed dry fruits is not a good thing to introduce as first food for babies.Plus that you would want to feed your baby as much as possible with organic sources. Previously i made my own research and came across this amazing book that introduces baby food in a different order and everything is justified in a logic way; plus over 40 nutritious recipes. Also includes topics like nutrition for fetal development, a healthy pregnancy, nourishing a growing child, remedies for illnesses of childhood and many others. I consider it a very good investment and i keep buying it for all my friends that become pregnant because the book has many advises for all the stages - from conception to childhood. For parents that are obsessed about growing a healthy child :) Review: Tons of expertise on nutrition for babies and children - A lot of expertise about babies, toddlers and children

Must have for anyone interested in the health of their children
This is a stunning piece of work. With a thorough grounding in science the book goes through what to eat, why to eat it, when to eat it, and how to cook it through all stages of child care, starting from preparing to get pregnant until reaching adulthood. It also discusses highly debated topics like vaccination and medication, and offers its own solutions for common childhood diseases and how to behave around your children. If you want healthy children then reading this book is highly recommended.

A Bible!
An outstanding book! The first adequate book I've ever read about the pregnancy! All the books, brochures, even being in the top of popularity on Amazon are so far from the logical, "natural", traditional way of eating and feeding a child.. I'm no from the UK and in my country in small villages the majority of people still follow traditional diets similar to what Weston Price was describing and you can see THE MASSIVE difference between kids from the villages and kids from the cities. So I've always been sceptical about the common advice in nutrition, and was tired of reading the advice to stick to fat-free diet and base your nutrition on potato and pasta and the only big change in diet would be to add "300 kcal daily for pregnant women". This book is like a fresh air, explains everything in such a detail with logic and statistics and what i LOVE about it that the authors were not afraid to go against the government advice. Would recommend it to everyone who wants to be healthy and have a healthy family.

Nourishing traditions book of baby and child care is an excellent book
Simply excellent book. Although I have read the Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon, this one is aimed at infant and toddler feeding and I absolutely love it for it is written well, it has a wealth of references you can investigate to create your own opinion of what is right for you and your child. Money very well spent. If you have a small child and are interested in how the food influences the central nervous system, read this.

Great book
Very useful book with great recipes. I find the diet for breastfeeding hard to stick to as I can’t even eat that much food. But my daughter is happy, healthy, intelligent and beautiful and I’m sure it has something to do the nourishment she has received following the advice of this book

Read with an open mind and this book can be an epiphany.
I wish I'd had this book before I got pregnant. It has chapters on healthy earing for preconception, pregnancy and for an infant and young child. The advice is practically the opposite of Government guidelines, but well backed up by the author and explained in layman's terms. For anyone who has never heard of Weston A Price or has followed government guidelines on nutrition, this book can seem almost mad, as I've found when talking to other mums. It's a lot to take in and a lifetime's belief of "saturated fats are bad, cholesterol is bad, eat low fat, eat plenty of carbs" can be hard to change. However, if read with an open mind, it can change yours and your baby's life for the better. This book is not for the faint hearted, as the recommendations can be hard to stick by due to difficulties in obtaining things like raw milk, and also my complete revulsion to liver, offal and eggs, however, I will be doing my best to follow the advice for my baby to make sure he has a healthier start in life. Another slight downside to this book is that a lot of the references are American, though still relevant to the UK. Finally, a great about this book is the chapter on dealing with various childhood illnesses. It will be my Bible for the next few years.

Excellent book
Everyone who wants to have a baby should read this book beforehand. It brings you wisdom, knowledge to conceive, deliver and bring up a healthy baby. My son is 1 year and two months old and he has never been sick at all. He is a very happy, sturdy, curious, bright baby. Apart from breast milk, he has been given all the sacred foods this book suggests. And he is growing so beautifully! I highly recommend this book to everyone. -- + **

I can't say enough about how wonderful this book is. As this is my first pregnancy, it seems as if everyone has a book recommendation....but truthfully, I didn't find any of the books recommended to me to be very helpful with the exception of this one book. First of all, and importantly, this book is beautifully written. It isn't too technical to the point of where the reader is crossing their eyes at all of the technicality. I have put down several books because they were boring to read, they frightened me with every possible bad thing that could happen or they were just way too technical (and that is saying a lot because I was a medical rep for 10+ years). This book is straight forward and very easy to follow and understand. It is enjoyable to read! I truly appreciate Sally Fallon's guidance on alternatives to breast milk. I can't understand how anyone can criticize her for providing alternatives because the bottom line is that there are women out there that simply cannot breast feed. Sincerely, Sally does state that breast feeding is best! However, she does provide other options besides the chemical laced and over processed commercial formulas available in the United States. I personally feel very relieved to know that there is something that I can do other than commercial formula or let my baby starve, should nursing be problematic. When I was at the WAPF Conference in Houston a few months ago, I listened to Sally Fallon's lecture on Baby Health and it was astonishing to learn that she has received an enormous amount of criticism for providing alternatives to breast milk. She is a saint and I am so thankful to her for her help with viable options. There are so many women who can't nurse due to anatomy issues, previous breast surgery, low milk production or babies with sensitivities to allergens in breast milk. What else is a mom supposed to do? Let their babies starve? The judgment is so nonsensical. In fact, at one point during Sally's lecture she actually got tears in her eyes because she mentioned how a mother called her with a baby actually dying because of lack of breast milk production. Sally was able to help guide that mother to the other homemade formulas and the baby was saved due to these other options. Sally Fallon has literally saved lives with her work and she cares about babies! Do yourself a favor and buy this book for yourself if you are pregnant or for any of your pregnant friends/relatives. This is a must have. It will help you navigate through the confusion of pregnancy. This book provides clarity on many baby issues and will help arm you with the best knowledge so that you can ensure a great start on your journey through pregnancy and birth. This is truly the only book that I recommend - it is the only book worth your time and energy during pregnancy! Save your money and don't buy any of the other books recommended...sincerely...it is that good! It covers everything such as prenatal care, ultrasounds, nutrition, vaccinations, birth information all the way through nutrition and health for baby. Thank you, Sally Fallon, for making a difference. You are an angel here on earth.
