How do you remove the wax?

It peels off really easily. I was surprised by how easy it was. It’s not sticky like hair removal wax.

Do u remove the grate before the wax hardens after use

I have never used the grate: Since the instructions indicated that it is not inserted until after the wax was melted, I never bothered to insert it. Also, if you find the time taken to melt the wax too long, use an old pan and melt the wax on your cooker (gently. If on gas, take care not to ignite the wax vapours) then pour into bath as it cools. Do not overheat.

What is the largest shoe size that can fit in the bath

I'm a size 5 and I can get my foot in, but my Daughter who is a 7 cann't

Could you use beeswax instead of paraffin wax - which unfortunately is derived from petrochemicals?

I have never used it. However, beeswax has a melting point around 60 deg which may be slightly too hot for comfort, whereas paraffin wax melts between 45 and 60. It may be possible to lower the melting point with the addition of almond oil.
